Over the past 5 years of teaching several instruments I have developed a system of learning songs that YOU love and learn what music is about. Brandon is fantastic. I don't know that he's ever given me a word of bad advice, and has been a HUGE help in getting my career as a producer and narrator off the ground. He's incredibly knowledgeable and skillful, and my experiences in both hiring him and learning from him have been absolutely fantastic. I would heartily recommend him!

What a delight it is to have Yoana as a music teacher for both of my children. She has the perfect blend of skill training and musical passion that she passes on to them. They not only are learning how to master the songs with excellent technique, but more importantly, she teaches them how to truly feel and understand the music. She adds in fun and even a little competition (to make tracking practice hours more like a game) and is always smiling and full of joy which makes them look forward to lessons. As a parent, I have full confidence that she is giving her whole heart to my children throughout their weekly sessions. I love how much she pushes and stretches them, all while loving and encouraging them at the same time. We look forward to many more years learning from her.

Yoana is so patient with our family and takes the time to notice individual strengths of my children. She takes into account each student's interests and guides and coaches them toward goals they are invested in. She uses a curricula that is classic and gets beautiful results! Yoana is such an amazing cheerleader for her students and her kindness and joy in supporting them is contagious. With her encouragement and strong teaching skill, students are confident and equipped to play music they love.
Kristina
Yoana has a wonderful gift for teaching flute and inspiring enthusiasm in her students. My daughter loves learning from her and enjoys her lessons immensely.

"I'm a more "Senior" student who decided that learning the saxophone needed to be at the top of my "Bucket List". I recognize adult students can be particularly challenging because they're a bit more rigid in what they want. Carl is the perfect instructor for all ages. First he's extremely knowledgeable, making you confident he's leading you down the right path. He's has so much diversity in both instruments and styles that he's able to accommodate anyone. With this, he has been able to tailor lessons, mixing the basics with my desire to learn popular jazz tunes. He's picked up on the fact that I'm an engineer and have to understand everything I'm taught, so he's included music theory that makes the lessons, steps, and songs take on a more complete meaning (and improving retention). He's extremely patient and encouraging, as some of my lessons are after very long and tough work days; yet, he knows how to challenge you to ensure continued progress. It's coming up on a year that he's been my instructor and he’s made me so confident I'll stick with playing, that I upgraded to a professional instrument. Superb instructor."

He really gets my boys; what their strengths and weaknesses are and what motivates them. He is always a step ahead of their achievements. He is clear about setting goals and expectations for the next lesson and listens carefully to any questions or concerns that they have.

Stephen put my anxiety to rest and made me feel comfortable learning something new. Did I mention I am 52? Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks? Stephen shows it just takes the right teacher.
