I have over 5 years of experience playing the saxophone and play the soprano, alto and tenor. I have performed as a soloist, in an wind ensemble setting and with jazz ensembles. I hold a Licentiate (LTCL) Diploma (2009) and a Grade 8 Certificate on Flute (2008) from Trinity College London and apply the same learning principles and technique to the saxophone.

I focus on the fundamentals (tone, technique and timing) using my own personalized approach to methods such as long tones, scales/ arpeggios and technical studies. I also allow students to be creative and express themselves through the art of music.

I have been teaching saxophone for 22 years. I have an earned Masters degree in music and enjoy teaching students of all ages. I am happily married with 5 children at home--4 of them are musicians as well (the youngest is 4).. Students will quickly learn not only the basics of music theory, but will be playing songs as early as their first lesson. It is extremely rewarding watching students have fun, excel, and fall in love with making music. I presently teach music at 3 schools (1 college) and only have a few lessons slots available. I look forward to working with you.

I have been teaching saxophone for 10 years. I enjoy teaching people of all ages, both children and adults, of all levels. I believe in teaching a strong core of music fundamentals but also in finding what makes music special to each student. Lessons should be fun and engaging. I have several students audition into regional bands, and select school ensembles every year. But we also make sure to play some pop tunes and top 40.

I have studied both Classical and Jazz saxophone in Europe and here with some of the best teachers in the world. I completed my Bachelor’s in Performance from Berklee College of Music, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude. In addition, I have a Masters in Music from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University and over 9 years of experience teaching music. Since every student is different and has specific goals, my lessons are carefully prepared so that you can learn in a fast pace!

We will go through a method book to go through the fundamentals of playing sax and will supplement it with ear training and music theory. We will learn any song that you want to! From a TV show, video game, movie, or anything else as it is very important to have fun with what you are playing. We will play duets and have a great time while becoming a better musician!
