I am dedicated to helping students improve on their instrument and work toward their own personal goals. All ages and all levels are welcome. I think it is important to build on a foundation of technique, sight reading, and music theory, but also have fun in the process. I have a BM in Clarinet Performance from the University of Puget Sound and a MM in Clarinet Performance from California State University, Fullerton.

I’m a professional clarinetist and woodwind instructor with 8 years of teaching experience, four of which include instruction at institutions of higher learning. I have a passion for developing smaller studios into well-established programs and helping students define and accomplish their musical goals. My goal as the instructor is to tailor lessons to meet each student's individual needs and interests, while still reinforcing good technique. Lessons will usually consist of doing a mix of different things such as: long tones, scales, etudes to improve technique and musicality, solos, duets, and Disney or jazz/pop tunes.

Hello! I have over 25 years of professional saxophone and clarinet playing experience. I've played and recorded many different styles with many different bands, orchestras, and jazz ensembles.

I teach clarinet and saxophone on all levels. I can teach beginners the basics of fingering, tone, music reading, theory, etc. I can help intermediate students advance in their playing prowess. I can get adults who haven't played in a while back into playing shape. And, for more advanced students, I can teach jazz improvisation. So, I cater my teaching to your desires and goals!

I'm able to teach adults and teenagers (age 12 and up) and I'm open to any frequency that fits your budget and desires (once a week, once every two weeks, twice a week, etc.).
