Clarinet Lessons in Lake Hamilton. Amazing Teachers.

Students will learn how to properly learn and play the clarinet from the absolute basics to a high, intermediate level and beyond in various styles.
Beginners: The basics of embouchure, technical skills, proper breathing techniques, ability to read music.
Intermediate: Playing intermediate level solo pieces, refining technique, extending range, learning how to play music by ear and performing in various styles, from classical to jazz.

Students will be challenged as we use the Rose, Klose, Rode, Baermann, studies to begin, plus we will look at major composers such as Mozart, Weber, Beethoven, Rossini and their compositions or transcriptions. Solo as well as duet pieces will be covered, and also performing along with online resources as well.

Experienced and qualified teacher of 9 years, I specialize in teaching clarinet and secondarily teach cello and piano. I welcome clarinet players of all ability levels! I am most experienced in teaching beginner/intermediate cello and piano. I believe in a positive approach to education, and believe creating a fun atmosphere will maximize student growth with their instrument. I come from a background of teaching elementary general music, band, and choir, middle school band, and high school band. I look forward to making music with you soon!

Students can expect to learn in a setting that’s both challenging but understanding. I stick to standard etude books for establishing fundamentals but also encourage students to voice what they’d like to play or learn.

In lessons, I will teach students how to develop an embouchure and make sound, have proper technique, discuss equipment care, how to read music and develop note recognition, and ultimately, play music. All of this, while helping students to develop their

The goal is to get my students playing with proper technique, so that this will carry on throughout their career and playing of the instrument. After getting some sounds out of the instrument and having decent technique, students will be assigned 1-2 songs to work on each lesson. It is the learning of music on one's own, that I believe, truly challenges the student to continue to apply information given in lessons.
