I am here to teach you at the pace that works best for you! Everyone is different and everyone likes different styles of music- I try to cater to that as much as possible. I will always set the expectation bar as high as you're willing to go.
For piano, when teaching in books, I normally go for the Faber! For guitar, various renditions of Hal Leonard, and for voice, The Rock and Roll Singer's Survival Manual. If you feel that you're better suited to learn primarily by ear or without the specific training of instruction books, let me know and we can pursue alternatives.
*** Studio Equipment ***
Great room setup for lessons with keyboard and instruments. Parents can sit in on lessons.
*** Specialties ***
Mark Baxter (Steven Tyler, Steve Perry vocal coach) method- geared toward pop/rock/country/blues.
I work well with all types of beginner piano and guitar players and excel with people interested in learning how to write songs, learn chords and fun rock riffs.

Missy has been very helpful, and I started seeing almost immediate improvement in my vocal range, which ultimately led to greater confidence. She is fun to work with and talk to. She not only gives vocal exercises and tricks, but explains the reasons for doing them, how they're going to help. I reccomend her as highly as possible!!!

This instructor has a solid foundation in music theory which can help students of all skill levels and instrument choice...including voice. I have already benefited from her expertise on both piano and voice as instruments, as well as general music concepts like voice leading, use of scale, tonal variation and dynamic. Very easy to understand and work with. I have no reservations about recommending this instructor.

I am passionate about seeing students grow. I strive to be energetic yet patient when teaching to create a comfortable dynamic in my lessons that encourages excitement about music.
I have been playing guitar for 9 years, and have performed professionally with groups playing styles ranging from jazz, country, rock, blues, funk, and even musical theatre. I am capable of teaching beginners as well as intermediate students.
My lessons encourage a strong knowledge of fundamentals, so that a student can continue to develop years down the road with their acquired understanding of music, but I also am also careful to tailor lesson material according to a student's interests, personality, and natural learning methods.
About Chris
I will graduate from Belmont University in the Spring of 2018 with a degree in Commercial Music, so I have had the "conservatory training" in regards to theory, music history, and studying the guitar, but before college I was largely a self taught player and am now a professionally performing musician here in Nashville. That being said, I can
I do my best to make lessons relaxed. I don't ever want a student to be nervous for a lesson with me because they did not practice as much as they think they should. While I encourage as much practice as possible, I care more about a student realizing the positive force that music can be in their lives; music doesn't need to be a stressor.

With my daughter, he is patient, approachable and makes her comfortable and eager to learn. She is more and more excited about the things she is accomplishing and I feel that she is getting a firm grasp on the important fundamentals of guitar.
Honestly, we feel that we have found a jewel of a teacher and my family highly recommends him.

I've been playing guitar for the last 15 years and giving lessons for almost as long! I have a degree in music from the University of Miami and am currently touring out of Nashville. I'd like to think I have a fairly wide range of musical tastes (jazz, country, blues, acoustic, gypsy jazz, rockabilly, rock, etc.) and I enjoy the different challenges that each of my students bring to the table. So whether you're just wanting to strum a few old favorites at home, or if you're on your way to being a Nashville pro like me, I'd be happy to help you along your musical journey!
About Matthew
My next stop was the University of Miami, where I attended the Frost School of Music from 2012-2016 and was fortunate enough to study with John Hart, Brian Russell, and Tim Jago I played with my first Grammy winner (multi-instrumentalist guru Charlie McCoy) and released an EP with Big City Folk Band in 2015. In 2017, I relocated to Nashville, began touring with country artist Derryl Perry, and recorded and released my first solo album, Aces. In between tour dates, I've been enjoying the task of expanding both my teaching studio and my guitar resume in this growing city.
I have also taken lessons from Gonzalo Bergara, Dan Wilson, Lorne Lofsky, Charlie Hunter, Jim Campilongo, Randy Vincent, Greg Koch, Guthrie Trapp, Brent Mason, and many more!
