I have been a professional touring and session guitarist for over 10 years, and a professional educator for 15. I have a degree in performance/composition from the Berklee College of Music, and throughout my teaching career I have placed students in several accredited collegiate music programs including USC and Cal Arts. I am a full time member of the band Lukas Graham and have toured internationally and performed to crowds upwards of 20,000 people. My career as a session musician across my credit list has yielded over 600,000,000 streams on Spotify alone.
When you study with me I spend the required time to get to know your current level of skill, the goals you’d like to achieve on the instrument, the style(s) you’d like to focus on, and most importantly the way in which you learn and retain information most effectively as an individual so that I can design lessons that cater to you as specifically as possible. Aisling is an amazing teacher! She is very motivating, patient and explains things very well. Within a few days I was comfortable enough to play and sing a whole song in my own and I am now able to pick up new songs a lot quicker. She has taught me some great basic techniques which I’m able to apply to many songs. Although our lessons started in-home, I am looking forward to continuing our lessons online and improving on my techniques even more. Thanks Aisling!

Aisling is a very supportive and enthusiastic teacher. She knows what she is talking about and one can easily tell how much she loves music. She does not hold back on giving compliments and she is almost happier about a succeeding piece than I was myself. She is very easy going which makes it easier to take instructions from her. The lessons were nice and relaxed; something you really want when learning how to play an instrument.
English is not my first language but she made it understandable. And during the lessons there was always room for some laughter and jokes.
I would definitely recommend Aisling as a teacher.
Mark Johnson
Aisling has been a delightful, dynamic, and polished professional from the start. We asked that she would come once (sometimes twice) a week to give lessons to my nephew who was living with us at the time. Jordan (our nephew) was 2 at the time. I believe it was very helpful and useful for us. Now, Jordan is back in India and is 4 years old. His comprehension of English and all of his locally-spoken languages is incredible. I'd highly recommend her services to everyone.

"I finally feel motivated to practice the guitar! I've taken lessons from different teachers over the years and I would always take a break because life would get in the way. But, the "music bug" would come back to bite me and I'd pick up the guitar again, which is how I ended up taking lessons from Mr. Sal since August 2016. Ever since I can remember, I have always wanted to learn to play the guitar and I finally after 8 years have found the right teacher to keep me on track. Thank you for always believing in me and helping me stay motivated. I would recommend anyone at any age to take guitar lessons with Mr. Sal!"

What Age is Best to Start Learning Guitar?

Is there a best age for learning guitar? We asked guitar teacher Linda L., who has taught young children, teens, adults, and seniors for her take... I started teaching myself to play the guitar at the age of 14. The book that I used to teach myself featured photos of a 7-year-old girl demonstrating how each chord was to be played.
