I love teaching music! I have been a professional guitar instructor for over 8 years. Through attentive one on one instruction I develop a program to suit the player's goals. I emphasize technique with drills designed to raise my students' skills evenly across a wide range of categories, like picking, fretting, scale patterns, chord shapes, chord progressions, rhythm training, and ear training. I can guide a complete beginner toward being able to play songs and have fun. For the more serious student I have a plan that will make you a better player and musician guaranteed.

Mr. Allouch is an excellent instructor. For me, placing my fingers on the guitar is hard, but he taught me to put my fingers in a perpendicular position and to make sure to press hard on the string so it will make a good sound. Thanks to that advice, it is easier to play the notes correctly. He has made it fun for me to learn guitar. He is an excellent guitar player and I am very happy that he has shared his passion with me. Merci beaucoup Mr. Allouch!

Catherine has been a terrific violin instructor for both my 14 year old daughter and 13 year old son. She is very passionate and methodical in keeping them motivated and engaged in learning the violin. She has been great and the kids love her as a teacher. My daughter has resumed her violin playing now that she has lessons with Catherine. She had stopped for a year, and after a few lessons her tone started to sound just like it was when she left off. She improves with each virtual lesson, but most importantly she really enjoys them. I also appreciate that we can schedule lessons
at intervals other than weekly. Thank you, Catherine!

"I started taking lessons with Ahmad over 5 years ago as a wee beginner. Looking back at where I started, I'm surprised at how much progress I have made and have learned more than I ever expected to.

It is obvious from the start that Ahmad is not only an phenomenal guitar player, but also, and more importantly, displays a strong passion and dedication for teaching. Each lesson is carefully designed and structured to build off of techniques previously learned and Ahmad has a knack for making even difficult concepts easy to digest. He imparts simple tips and tricks, mined from years of experience, that have helped me master techniques and avoid tedious memorization exercises which would have made the learning process agonizingly painful. Having one-on-one lessons also allows Ahmad to give me the personal attention needed to provide feedback, positive and negative, and nip bad habits in the bud before they become ingrained. Additionally, each lesson comes with handouts which are handy to practice with and use as a reference (I have 400+ pages of material so it's important to keep it all organized).

Ahmad has a diverse set of musical tastes and a secondary benefit of taking lessons with him is that he's exposed me to a plethora of great music that I would not otherwise have discovered on my own. Whether you're a beginner, intermediate, advanced, or think you can rival Joe Satriani, there's something for you to learn from Ahmad. Also, I've found that lessons are very motivating in terms of encouraging me to keep practice because, yes, I do get lazy sometimes. With Ahmad, if you put in the time and effort, you will be rewarded greatly with the freedom to be as creative as your heart desires and you will have more fun playing the guitar than a mouse running loose in a cheese factory.

Oh, and Ahmad's a super cool guy too."

"Lessons with Al are always a high point of my week. Learning guitar as an adult is challenging, and he is unfailingly encouraging and motivational. His teaching method - a mix of music theory, exercises, improvisation, and practicing songs - keeps things fresh and challenging every week, and has helped me become better at productive practicing outside of each session. Al is also willing to jump down the rabbit hole with me when I bring him something I can’t figure out on my own. I cannot recommend him highly enough. He is a wonderful teacher."

"Paul is the man

I am older than your average student. I had never taken lessons before and always wanted to learn to play guitar so I went out an purchased an acoustic guitar. I tried to learn from on line as well as purchased DVD's but it just didn't feel right. There was something missing like the human touch. I had heard about Paul from a relative who gave me insight about his background and his education. I decided to give him a try.

I called the place that he was working at and booked my first lesson. He carefully went over how he was going to teach me and then patiently worked with me.

I know that I will never be as good as Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck or Paul William, but to know that I can play a little is very gratifying."

"Steve is terrific. His lesson plans teach the fundamental skills while keeping my son interested with relevant music. My son loves to practice and looks forward to seeing Steve. My musical career was ruined early on with intense study of music theory. Instead, my son is learning to express his love music by playing. The theory can come along later when he's older and his love of playing and skills are well established.
Highly recommend lessons with Steve.
