I am new to playing the flute, self-taught for 8 months. Cooper is very personable and I think he spotted my weaknesses quickly. He was very encouraging and gave me a mixture of exercises working on the beginnings of listening and playing with another musician as well as fingering. He is going to get some theory in as well, so that’s hitting all of what is essential for me to move forward.

Mary was a fun and patient piano lesson teacher. I have never taken any music lessons before so we started with the basics but she did a good job of finding the pace that I learned at. She taught slow enough for me to catch on, but not too slow to where I felt like my 30 min lessons were a waste of time/money.

Unfortunately, I had to cancel the rest of my lessons with Mary because I was becoming too busy with work to stay committed to my lessons and practice. If I ever take lessons again I'll definitely sign up with Mary again, zero complaints.

Mary was amazing teacher for me, and she really sparked my passion for music. I had really just started clarinet when I began taking lessons from her, and I truly believe one of the reasons I am going into music is because of how she made me see it. "Seth is a good dude. I came across his profile with Take Lessons a month ago, after browsing through other instructors in my area and other schools in my area. He's got the experience and knowledge, so I connected with him for an initial lesson. It was a quick one to get introductions out of the way and a good idea of goals/direction. From there we further honed our plans for my instruction in an hour lesson and are directing our sights on my upcoming auditions. Seth has shown me through simple explanations of theory that his teaching style is very approachable, and additionally, was able to show me good technical skills on working my way around the horn, which is especially useful for someone like me in my twenties who already has a few bad habits (haha). Like I said, he's a good dude, good sense of humor so I feel at ease practicing with him and his knowledge is insane! Not only for saxophone but in so many other areas of music! You'd be doing yourself a favor to take at least an hour lesson from him and see how you go."
