About Osvaldo

I've been playing clarinet for 16 years and have not stopped ever since. Music lessons were first introduced to me at the age of 8 by my godfather. He taught me basic music theory with the piano and trumpet. I gave up the trumpet at age 12 and switched on to the clarinet (played it in a community b

I work with the student to develop a curriculum based on their musical interests and my own teaching pedagogy. I strongly feel that for musicians to own their education, they must have a say in what they play. Assigning method books and mindless etudes to practice doesn't have nearly the same effect asking them "Ok, what kind of music do YOU like? What do you want to PLAY? What do you want to LEARN?".

I believe that students learn best when they are invested in a subject, and the best way to get them invested is to individually get to know each one, speak to them on their level, and get them playing music they're interested in.

About Jon

I'm a professional performer, educator, and recording artist. I received my Masters in Music from New Mexico State University, and my BA and BME from the College of Wooster in Ohio. Students can expect to improve their technique and performing repertoire within a matter of weeks. We will collabo

Dr Kimberly is an absolutely fantastic instructor. My son was brand new to the saxaphone and she was incredibly patient and encouraging. One of the things we really loved was her trying to find theme songs to my sons favorite TV shows so he would have something familiar and fun to play.

I cannot share any details because I was working during this freaking pandemic while my child was taking this lesson so I have no idea how it went, but my child seemed happy, is enthusiastic about the clarinet, and said his teacher was nice, so five stars from me!

I loved today's class! The teacher helped me understand row number 7 and 8! :)

Very knowledgable and enthusiastic teacher. He has a way about him that makes the lesson exciting.

Mr Yakov is very pleasant, patient and professional. He makes learning fun. One of my daughters is very shy and particular. I was concerned for her first violin. But she ended up loving the lesson and the instructor. We did some lessons online and at his studio. During the online lesson, the connection with our internet was horrible. He could hear her playing but she couldn't hear him. Yet, patiently, he got creative and taught the lesson with my daughter through chat. The environment of the studio is comfortable. You can tell he's passionate about what he does. That left me with a great impression of him. We look forward to more lessons with him for as long as we can.
Thanks Mr Yakov!!!

I have been teaching clarinet for 22 years. I have an earned Masters degree in music and enjoy teaching students of all ages. I am happily married with 5 children at home--4 of them are musicians as well (the youngest is 4).. Students will quickly learn not only the basics of music theory, but will be playing songs as early as their first lesson. It is extremely rewarding watching students have fun, excel, and fall in love with making music. I look forward to working with you.

"Ally is a great teacher. She has lots of talent herself, as well as a great personality. She is patient and sensitive and a good motivator. She can help the student feel good about himself while being challenged to improve his skills. She is very enthusiastic about music in general, and her love of music shines out. She has played her clarinet for us in church with our praise band, as well as with our Christmas program. It was during the Christmas program practices that I was able to see how well she relates to others with less talent. I'm sure she would be an excellent clarinet teacher."
