I create a fun environment for all students! Through lessons, I focus on strengthening the fundamentals and building the necessary skills in order for my students to become successful. Whether you want to be a professional soloist or an enthusiastic band member, my job is to provide you with the tools so you can become an independent musician.

I have been playing and teaching the saxophone for 23 years. Saxophone was my original instrument of choice as I played it in the public school bands and in college. I emphasize the fundamental of sound production, fingerings, and music reading. The saxophone is a very versatile instrument In playing classical to jazz music. You can begin today to learn or improve your saxophone playing!

Hello! I have over 25 years of professional saxophone and clarinet playing experience. I've played and recorded many different styles with many different bands, orchestras, and jazz ensembles.

I teach clarinet and saxophone on all levels. I can teach beginners the basics of fingering, tone, music reading, theory, etc. I can help intermediate students advance in their playing prowess. I can get adults who haven't played in a while back into playing shape. And, for more advanced students, I can teach jazz improvisation. So, I cater my teaching to your desires and goals!

I'm able to teach adults and teenagers (age 12 and up) and I'm open to any frequency that fits your budget and desires (once a week, once every two weeks, twice a week, etc.).

Private one-on-one saxophone instruction has been my primary vocation for nearly 30 years. I've also worked as a professional performing musician for over 35 years. Each lesson is tailored to the tastes and needs of the student, with traditional method books rarely used once the basics are under control. Instruction is based on a strong working knowledge of scales. The informed use of these scales leads to a heightened understanding of improvisation, ear training, and other practical aspects of music theory. Students are encouraged to choose from a variety of jazz standards and transcriptions, classical themes, and pop tunes that I’ve transcribed and engraved. Rudimentary instruction is also available for saxophonists wishing to learn flute and/or clarinet.
