We contacted him and he was making a suggestion to have my son go to his house and when I told him I didn’t like that suggestion as I specifically noted I needed at home tutoring he abruptly cancelled and said we weren’t a good fit.

I believe the study of music will enrich your life in many ways and that music can become a friend for life.

I'm in 8th Grade and have been taking saxophone lessons with Bob for a year. He is friendly, patient, helpful and makes the lessons fun! I enjoy taking lessons with him because he's not too pushy but still challenges me enough to help me improve my skills. I would highly recommend him as a teacher!

Take lessons from Bob Campbell! Do it and you'll be rewarded with a fun, productive, and inspired musical experience that will enrich your life. Seriously. I've studied with Bob for several years and he is a creative and passionate teacher who can show you how to make the simplest exercises musical and interesting, while making more challenging pieces a pleasure to learn.

Bob is a talented, accomplished performer who shares his in-depth professional experience and broad knowledge of music history and culture to educate and motivate. During lessons, Bob has been known to relay stories from classical-era musicians’ lives, play passages from 1930s to current jazz musicians, and impart lessons from his own performance experiences. I'm so often amazed that he has yet another fascinating example or story to illuminate a topic and provide new understanding of a concept.

Bob is a learner-centric teacher who provides creative, deliberate plans and steps to move forward, but will change course if needed to enhance success. Since I started the saxophone later in life, he often mentions the “unique strengths of adult learners” and relates adult life-knowledge to learning musical concepts. Additionally, I have long struggled with confidence in music-making and Bob has come up with creative solutions to help me overcome my own “getting in the way” of music making while keeping me on task. Along the way he has been understanding, kind, and supremely patient while working through this challenge with me.

Bob brings a keen intellect, good sense of humor, and a relaxed and fun teaching style to his lessons. I feel fortunate to have an expert and steadfast guide who encourages me to explore and have fun with music while helping me gain knowledge and skills. Do yourself a favor and call Bob to guide you on your own musical journey.

I’ve been taking tenor sax lessons with Bob for over 5 years. When I started taking lessons with him, I couldn’t play at all, but I’ve made great progress and Bob has been instrumental (sorry!) in my improvement. In fact, I got good enough to play "Unforgettable" during the service at my daughter’s wedding and everyone both enjoyed it and thought it was quite meaningful. Bob is professional, motivating and friendly and I’ve truly enjoyed working with him. I would very highly recommend Bob to anyone of any age who is interested in lessons on a woodwind instrument.

Our lessons will be tailored to your specific needs. We will focus on proper breath support, body posture, embochure and sound. We will also be looking at a repertoire suitable to your level and interests, and we might do some jazz improvisation if you want to learn that too. Just give it a try!

Keith Daniels is an exceptional educator, arranger, and composer. During our shared time at the University of North Texas (UNT), I had the pleasure of not only being a student of his but also playing some of his awesome originals and arrangements.

Keith uses a structured approach that gave me a very solid foundation as a composer/arranger. He starts from the basics of harmony/instrumentation and progresses all the way to advanced orchestration and intricate harmony writing. His music notation software of choice is Sibelius, but I used Musescore when studying from him and I was able to learn everything he taught just fine.

One thing I like about him is that he can work at your pace. When I was studying with him, I was in a class with three other students. We were all at different skill levels, but he was able to help all of us progress at our own rate, giving us specific individual feedback depending on our skill. On top of that, he is bilingual in both Spanish and English.

I highly recommend Keith to anyone trying to improve their Jazz composition and arranging! He will seriously help you out big time just like he did for me.

He is a great teacher! I enjoy the lessons with him a lot because he is always passionate and answers every question I ask with easy explanations and examples. He is super knowledgeable and friendly. His musical knowledge and suggestions always surprise me.

I had Keith Daniels as an Arranging teacher for a year. He is passionate about teaching, treats his students in a pretty respectful way, and always aware of the student's progress. Keith besides being an impressive musician is such a great human being, honest, patient, pretty open to new ideas, always on the vanguard of his topics, and a great listener who is always there to give you a hand in case you need it. I definitely recommend him, I've been growing with each session and changing my perspective of music in a positive way since I know him.

I have been teaching saxophone for 15+ years. I enjoy teaching people of all ages, both children and adults, of all levels. I believe in teaching a strong core of music fundamentals but also in finding what makes music special to each student. Lessons should be fun and engaging. I have several students audition into regional bands, and select school ensembles every year. But we also make sure to play some pop tunes and top 40.
