Mark is an American composer, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and music producer.
I started teaching private music lessons my senior year of high school, in 2006. Since then I've taught over 100 different students of all ages from 3 years old to 78 years old. While still living in Ohio, I was the one and only official guitar teacher for Guitar Center Youngstown through the duration of 2008-2009. In late 2009, after moving to Los Angeles, I continued to teach privately and with several music schools all around the city. I currently live in the Sherman Oaks neighborhood of LA with my wife and two little kids.

About Justin
Like most guitarists, I had always wanted to play the guitar as a little kid. Luckily, my parents finally caved to the request (ok ok, incessant begging) and I began my guitar journey at the age of 11. After now 20 years of playing and 12 years of teaching, I am excited to share my experience and th

He is really knowledgeable and easy to learn from,
highly recommend."

Very very good uke teacher. He goes the extra thousand miles. When I give him my songsheet of what I want to learn He already had played it on his music box to show me the right rhythm. When I got a songsheet that was for guitar he transpose it to ukulele. He listened carefully and give me feedback on how to improve my playing. He showed me the correct finger position for the harder chords and give me ideas of how to practice certain strums. Very nice and professional ! Makes me want to practice my uke more. Thouroughly enjoyable experience !"

If you are thinking of trying the ukulele or guitar, then connect with Jason. I think that no matter your skill level he will be able to keep you engaged, excited and challenged."

Want to learn to play ukulele in different styles and genres? Here, ukulele teacher Michael L. explains how you can get the most out of your ukulele and learn to play new songs and chords... What's the first thing that comes to mind when you think of the ukulele? Is it of someone playing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow"? Or a singer/songwriter playing a soft ballad? Something like the volcano love song in the Pixar short film? I'm here to tell you that the ukulele can do so much more than tha …

As far as songs to learn on the ukulele goes, You Are My Sunshine is near the very top of my list to recommend to students. It checks all of the boxes of a good first song to learn: Number 1: It has a very simple and easy to hum melody Number 2: It only has three chords (C Major, F Major, and G Major) in it and is usually played in the key of C (our favorite on Ukulele!) Number 3: It is very recognizable and is somewhat already in our ear, so we don’t have to go in blind and learn it …

Are you trying to learn a song on ukulele but can only find guitar chords? I’ve played guitar all my life and have a collection of Gibson and Epiphone Les Pauls. For my birthday a few years ago, my girlfriend bought me an electric Les Paul-style ukulele. I’d never played a uke before -- ever. I had to go online to even find out how to tune the thing! Undaunted, I discovered the standard tuning is from the top string G – C – E – A. The G string is thinner than the C string, sort …
