I am an experienced ukulele / guitar teacher with over 20 years of experience. I teach students of all levels and ages. In addition to teaching the student the style they want to learn I also believe in building a solid foundation and understanding in music theory. I believe one really does help the other.

About Paul
I have been teaching music for about 22 years mostly on the guitar but I also give lessons on the bass, piano, and ukelele. I give lessons to beginners of all ages. If you want to learn and have fun I am ready for your lesson. In addition to teaching I have played in various local original and cover bands as well as musical productions. I enjoy the challenge every student brings.

*** Lesson Details ***
I structure my lessons with a focus on learning to read and play music but I also like to teach a student what interests them as well. Early on the student will also learn songs or stlyes that interest them so its not just work but also play.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I provide books and various other t
hings (e.g. picks, music stands, metronomes, etc... at students expense) if asked. Student should provide instrument

I have now received 9 months of training from Paul. I am amazed at how with his knowledge, help, patients and teachings I can say I play the piano and actually can play any easy piano arraignment. Being able to make this claim says a lot about Paul and his training. I am able to read the sheet music and no longer have to constantly look down at the keys. Paul has shown me so many different fingering options to achieve a much smoother transition of the position of my fingering. I know that no matter what issues I may come across during a piece that I can count on Paul to help me to figure out how to overcome the issue. Paul has so much to offer and I am like a little sponge.... Thank you Paul and I can’t wait to hit that one year mark of training and education from you.

- I own a music academy where I train others to be successful instructors
- I have a very high student retention rate

*** Lesson Details ***
I customize the lessons to the goals of each student. Whether it's for fun and leisure or a driven passion with serious goals, I can give you the tools to accomplish what you want! I love teaching people through the music that they love. So, whether that's Britney Spears, Metallic
a, or Bach, the concepts underlying music are basically the same. I will make sure you can play the music you love and hopefully help you explore new music as well.

*** Studio Equipment ***
In my studio I have a Guild Classical, Alvarez Acoustic, and Epiphone Electric.

All the accessories needed as well. Music Stands, Foot Stools, Picks, Straps, Slides, Tuners, Books, etc.

I also use an iMac in lessons. I like incorporating technology when appropriate, to look up tunes, or do a recording session, it's a necessary tool to learn nowadays.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I will bring everything we need to conduct a proper lesson remotely. I do recommend you have your own guitar though.

*** Specialties ***
For all the advanced knowledge I have and years of teaching students of all kinds, my favorite is teaching beginners. I love seeing someone come in with no knowledge of music, and taking them from milestone to milestone. I love watching new musicians blossom.

I play, teach, and perform most frequently in classical, rock, blues, and pop genres.

Ukulele lessons are taught one-on-one and from a beginner level to an intermediate level. Ages of students start at 6-years-old and up. I have many adult students as well. It's never too late to start a new instrument.

About Rob
I have over 18 years of professional teaching experience on drum set, snare drum and percussion (timpani, two- & four-mallets, accessory percussion and hand drums), guitar, piano, electric bass and ukulele. I have been playing music since the age of two.

Some of my most noteworthy performances have included Late Show with David Letterman (Justin Townes Earle and Allison Moorer), Tonight Show with Jay Leno (Allison Moorer), Levon Helm'™s Midnight Ramble (Allison Moorer), The Conan O'™Brien Show (Julia Nunes) and Budokan in Tokyo, Japan (Jim Campilongo Trio).

My Bachelor of Music is from Capital University where I studied with three great teachers:
Robert Breithaupt - Classical percussion and jazz drum set
Jim Ed Cobbs - Drum set, tabla and frame drums
Eric Paton - Taiko, samba, Afro-Cuban drums

*** Lesson Details ***
I treat
each student individually, catering to specific goals and needs that we will decide upon and plan together. Some students want to seriously study a craft. Others want a hobby that will be fun and interesting. I have had success teaching to both, and will impart basic fundamentals and musicianship to all types of students.

I see my primary job as keeping the student inspired, intellectually fed and sprinting in the right direction. The student's job is to do the work. Daily practice is essential to move forward in any craft.

*** Studio Equipment ***
My Brooklyn studio is a dedicated music space with two drum sets, PA, amplifiers and recording capabilities.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I will provide books, a drum pad, sticks or mallets, an iPod with two sets of headphones, and a metronome. Additionally, I can bring small hand drums, special instruments and percussion that might be needed for specialty lessons. I expect students to have some sort of pad or drum to practice on at home; a full drum set is not necessary.

*** Specialties ***
Drum set (rock, jazz, R&B, folk, pop, electro, Afro-Cuban)
Snare drum
Timpani
Two- and four-mallets (marimba, vibraphone, xylophone)

I've taken guitar lessons from a few teachers and Dan is the best fit I've ever had. He is very patient and does a fantastic job of tailoring lessons to individual needs. He clearly loves to play music and is very thoughtful about how he shares this knowledge in his lessons. He never fails to encourage me as a guitar player and reinforces a 'can do' attitude. Ukulele is an incredibly versatile instrument. I've studied with James Hill, and take a lot of inspiration from him. I can teach you how to play whatever you want on ukulele.

Experienced music teacher of 10 years available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation.

About Abe
I've always had a love for music. I've been teaching music in the classroom and privately for 10 years. I have a Master's Degree in Music Education and am a Level 2 James Hill Ukulele Initiative certified teacher.

I'm a father 4, and have been married for 12 years.

I teach guitar, piano, bass, and singing, but my real passion is the ukulele. I believe it's the best instrument for beginners and can really stand well on it's own, unlike the traditional thought of ukulele being a toy.

When I teach, I put the student first and always make the students goals my own. I push for more, but always gently encourage to build off of successes to achieve mastery.

Learning an instrument can be a difficult task, and it takes time and dedication. It's also tremendously rewarding, and the most important thing that I want my students to gai
n is a fun experience improving and creating music.
