If you're an adult finally getting around to learning your dream instrument or a child following your passion of playing music I tailor your lessons specifically to you. We look at what you want to play, pick specific songs that you want to learn, and learn the techniques you need to play these songs. It sounds simple, but it's so effective and much more fun to learn this way!

I have been playing the ukulele for approximately 8 years. Combined with my knowledge of music theory and guitar, I can teach whatever techniques one would be interested in learning on the ukulele. We can explore chord voicings and arrange songs for the ukulele or we can stick to the easier and more well known things such as Somewhere over the rainbow and Mele Kalikimaka :)

The ukulele is a fun way for young or inexperienced players learn to play a string instrument without the tedious and sometimes painful process involved on a guitar or bass guitar. You can learn many skills very quickly on the ukulele, that will eventually translate to the guitar. Reading simple melodies and playing a wide range of chords that fit neatly and comfortably on the ukulele make it a fun and easy first instrument to learn. Can you say Kamakaiwaole?
