I combine the styles of music that you prefer with some kind of method book for reading and theory. No purchasing of music is required. Normal lessons start with the previously assigned material, determining what we need to work on, new material, and ending with things to do at home.

Sean was a great teacher. I asked him if he knew how to teach Bollywood style Violin and even though he didn't he took the time to study it and learn just to teach me. I really appreciate that he was so open to trying so hard for his students. I think Sean is great!
Marc T.
Great first lesson. High hopes for follow lessons.

I self-taught myself guitar over 35 years ago; mostly forgotten. Sean began with establishing goals that would meet my goals. The feedback to me during the lessons was focused and delivered in a friendly manner. Progression was enhanced due to his manner and his approach to teaching. While this was the first lesson, I am looking forward to future lessons.

Love to teach beginners and intermediate students.
I teach all uke students how to read, theory, songs and how to understand playing the instrument solo or in a group setting.

"I thought I'd be able to teach myself the ukulele, but there is so many nuances to the process that I had missed. I like the way Remi corrected bad habits immediately and the way he simplified chord changes. Really looking forward to practicing some specific items this week and to my next lesson."

"Jesse has been teaching me ukelele and my husband guitar for the past few months. I had never picked up a ukelele before I started, and at the end of my first lesson he had me playing a song! He works great with absolute beginners (like me) and with those who have been playing but want to hone their skills (like my husband). He comes to our house, is always on time, and is a great teacher. I would recommend Jesse to anyone."

"Livv is an amazing and a gifted teacher. She’s very knowledgeable, but she’s completely humble. Her easy-going personality makes learning fun and enjoyable. She’s funny and down to earth. Learning a new task can sometimes be very frustrating, but she’s incredibly patient and supportive. She allowed me to learn at a pace that I’m most comfortable with. She adapted to my learning style and tailored the lessons to my desired goals. First of all, I wanted to be able to play the ukulele and secondly, I wanted to be able to play some of my favorite songs on the ukulele. She taught me how to play. She wrote the tabs for the songs I requested. We went over those songs together and my goals were met. In addition to reaching my goals, I’ve learned and reached other objectives along the way. She taught me how to read music in general, how to read chord diagrams, how to read tabs, how to strum and she gave me tips on different ways to play the barre chords. I never thought that I could ever play the dreaded barre chords, but with her guidance and patience, I was able to do that. She communicated with me every step of the way about my progress and what’s on the horizon for the coming week. She’s a well-rounded teacher and she gets my highest recommendation. Livv, thank you for your insights and encouragement throughout my journey."

Chris is taking that knowledge and putting together a lesson approach that will teach me how to play the ukulele well, and help me to achieve my goals. I look forward to many more productive lessons with Chris as I sense he is a great teacher."

"Grant quickly recognized my level of understanding with chord movement (beginner to intermediate) and we analyzed a song together that will help me recognize chord motion in other songs. This will allow greater chord pattern recognition, and therefore memorization should come easier - which I really want to happen!
This is only my first lesson with Grant, so I likely won't write another review until I've had a few more."
