About Kathryn

Kathy believes that variety is the spice of not only life, but also music. Raised singing folk music with a musical family (think accordions, guitars and lots of vocal harmonies), she learned guitar and piano at an early age, but began singing even earlier. Her quest to give the world the best

My experience with Kathy has been great. It's been roughly five months and I learned a lot and I'm also much more confident to sing. Learning the right techniques is crucial. Kathy is extremely patient and she adapts the classes to the student goals and aspirations. English is not my first language and she was also always very respectful and patient in explaining everything twice or maybe three times until I get it.

Kathryn has a terrific demeanor, and provides clear, thoughtful suggestions for technique!

Curtis is a fantastic teacher! He is patient, enthusiastic, and encouraging. He teaches the type of songs you want to learn and not some song from a guitar guidebook. My first lesson was two hours and it quickly went by. I learned a lot, had a lot of fun and am looking forward to my next lesson. If you are in search of a guitar instructor, I would highly recommend him.

"I took lessons from William for approximately three years before work-life squelched my personal guitar playing aspirations. William was a wonderful teacher with whom I still stay in touch. He was willing to share with me as much theory as I could handle, in addition to a diverse exposure to blues, jazz, rock, and from time to time, seduced my ear and stretched my playing aspirations by having me dabble in some classical (fingering techniques). He also exposed me to various musical genres through listening sessions to keep me motivated and present to me endless aural possibilities to which to aspire. I believe I could take a life time of lessons from William and never get bored. He is also a subject matter expert in all types of gear: guitars, strings, and equipment. He, during my tutelage under him, had numerous guitars of all types, makes and models (which he would occasionally allow me to play). I miss my lessons and hope he will be active teaching, when I am able to retire, so as to resume my learning adventure."

"Steven is the best. I've been taking lessons with him for a few years now and he's a really great teacher. He takes his time to make sure you understand everything. He's always helpful. He's always patient when it came to me being slow at playing certain scales or solos, no matter how long it would take me. He also has a really amazing studio. He's really fun to take lessons with. Also he has an amazing sense of humor. Taking lessons with him is always a blast. I always look forward to it during the week. Steven is an amazing person and teacher. Definitely one of the best out there. I'd recommend him to anyone who wants to learn or play music."

"Chase and I did not work together long because of other commitments. However, in the short time we did work together I learned a lot. Chase is easy going, highly skilled, very patient, and his teaching style is such that it fosters student confidence. I was really nervous at first, because I wasn't sure what to expect. Chase quickly made me feel at ease during the lesson. We only had half hour lessons, but that was definitely enough time to learn new materiel and make progress. I highly recommend him for guitar lessons."
