I have a degree in music, and have taught at three summer camps three music stores and two universities.

I have been teaching guitar since 1990. I teach ages 9 and up, and I aim to tailor lessons to work with your natural strengths and learning style.

I offer note-reading but it is optional. We can study guitar using tablature and chord diagrams. The important thing is to make great music, enjoy the process, play songs you like, make steady progress and become independent.

Josh has been playing and performing music for over 13 years. He has achieved a bachelor's degree in instrumental music education and has experience as an instructor teaching private students and group classes for over 8 years. He has studied instrumental music education including areas of classical music, jazz, theory, history, and improvisation.

Experienced guitar teacher of 13 years available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation of rhythm and ear training skills. I specialize in harmony and theory, typically use Hal Leonard books, and also have the following tools available to use during lessons: analog and digital recording equipment/studio, sheet music, stings and basic guitar set-ups. I have played acoustic guitar for twenty years. I studied classical guitar, but I play rock, jazz, folk, and pop music, and I have taught many students for the past eleven years.
