I teach rhythm and lead acoustic and electric guitar for any style of music

I am a guitar player, singer/songwriter performer and recording artist. I am self taught and formally trained, graduate from Musicians Institute. I play acoustic and electric guitar. As my student, I will work at your pace teaching you basic music theory, guitar chord charts and tab so that you can easily learn how to play your favorite songs and create your own songs.

With over fifteen years experience, I am looking forward to either getting you started or taking you further on this instrument for all seasons. We will play standard fare as well as any of your favorites. You will learn strum and sing and/or play melodies.

We can work on whatever you're interested in! Music should be fun, so I like to work with students on the kind of music they enjoy listening to.

I'll take you from zero knowledge and show you the world of music. The possibilities are endless, but I'll get you to YOUR goal. You'll know musical keys, notes, scales, chords... how does it all fit and work together? I'll show you! I provide jam tracks with specific goals in mind. Knowledge plus ability equals musical freedom!

I'm influenced by my idols, but I play many genres and cater to improve everyone's technique based on interest.

My students not only learn to play the guitar, but learn "why they are doing what they are doing!" I teach all ages and I am very patient. We can work as fast or as slow as you like. I believe lessons should be informative and fun at the same time. I teach each students the basics of note reading, chord theory and scales as these subjects relate to the guitar. I use varoius method books like Hal Leonard, The FJH Music, as well as method books for children.
