I play in 3 active bands (gigging regularly) & produce/cowrite with a number of artists for their own projects. I spent much of the past 15 years touring, writing and recording with my bands and with internationally known artists/celebrities. My songs have been licensed for national/international TV (E!, MTV, VH1, Ox
ygen, TBS and more), commercials for CBS, Nike, Coca-Cola, Samsung and in video games. Recently, I contributed to the development of an iOS meditation/breathing app.

In 2015, I signed a major label publishing deal with Fieldhouse Music/BMG played throughout Europe (and taught online lessons while away). Since 2016, I have released 3 singles and 2 EPs, for my own projects. I am currently endorsed by PRS guitars, Elixir Strings, & Godin Guitars/Bass Guitars.

I teach my clients in my creative and comfortable home teaching studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. I work with Vocalists/Singers, guitarists/bassists, pianists & songwriters/producers/composers in a wide age range and of various skill levels. I help my students reach their goals!

(2) tube guitar amplifiers, and various guitar effects pedals.

(1) full-size 88-key MIDI keyboard, (1) 61-key USB keyboard controller, and (1) Arturia MINILAB MIDI controller.

Also, I have an assortment of industry standard dynamic & condenser microphones for live performance and recording applications.

DAW recording software (Pro Tools 12.x, Logic 10.x, Ableton Live)
software synthesizers by Arturia, Fabfilter, Native Instruments, Spectrasonics, Steven Slate, Toontrack and more. I use plugin effects by Izotope, Fabfilter, Plugin Alliance and Universal Audio and Waves for many of my lessons and recording projects.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I can provide a guitar, videos, music recording, music workbooks and everything else a student may need... I prefer for students to print chord/fretboard & staff paper and bring to their lessons... Although I can do it if they can't... Students should just bring a list of songs they wish to learn to our lessons and a desire to learn

*** Specialties ***

I am a performer and producer, fluent in the latest recording technology, with a ton of touring/stage experience. In addition to technical studies my students receive performance coaching/career development. Eric is the best guitar teacher I've had, and I've had many over the years. He is remarkably skilled at the full range of guitar vocabulary, so no matter what I am interested in learning more, he is able to teach. As an instructor, he is very vested in the students' growth, and makes sure I am getting the help I need to get better even outside the class. He is extremely perceptive about my strengths, weaknesses, and interests, and carefully sequencing the best material according to my level, explaining why they are important, and showing me the next steps. After 6 months of taking lessons with Eric, I am very proud of the progress I've made, and even more excited about what I am able to do in the future.

I focus on teaching you to play guitar through the music you enjoy listening to. If you enjoy what you are playing then you will be inspired. If you are inspired you will practice and if you practice you WILL get results!

About Don
I provide a complete learning experience beyond your traditional guitar lesson format! I began by teaching you the skills needed to play and perform your music confidently. The main curriculum is my own Electric Crown Guitar Method which is the result of many years of testing what works best for students in a one on one learning situation.

Learning skills is useless if you don't actually apply them in a real musical way. I use a large variety of popular rock songs ranging from Led Zeppelin to The Beatles to Metallica and so on. I use real band backing tracks which you will be able to take home to practice along with. I will then record YOU playing the guitar parts with the band!

I strive to give you much more than guitar lessons. I offer you a complete guitar experience! Come join the experience!

Learning to play guitar can be a daunting task. Don breaks it down into easy to understand lessons. After each lesson he sends me home with practice homework so I constantly feel like I'm making progress.

The most important thing for me when i wanted to take lesson was that the teacher new his stuff, Don definitely does. I'm not just learning to play guitar, i'm also learning more about music.

When looking for a guitar teacher for my daughter, I was so pleased to find Don. He knew exactly where to begin with her and started her playing music right away. His creative techniques keep her engaged and excitedly looking for what's coming next. He is professional, yet warm at the same time, putting both her and I at ease. It is amazing to see the transformation in my daughter's guitar abilities as well as the transformation in her confidence. Don's expertise and patience is perfectly blended.
Thanks Don!

Heading into my first class with Tim, I had almost no musical experience (at least for the last 15+ years). In a very casual way, he was able to get a sense of where I was and where he should start with my instruction.

I was very reluctant to take lessons at first, but my wife got me started with Tim and it was really worth it. He was accommodating to my relatively slow speed of learning and easily adapted to my own musical preferences and interests.

His studio is a great space and is located within a really cool, historic building. The sound is fantastic and it's a comfortable space to practice in.

I highly recommend Tim for lessons - especially for adults who may not be able to dedicate hours a day to practicing. I took lessons weekly for three months and I got a great foundation for practicing. Once my life settles down a little, I definitely hope to go back.

Everyone loves the guitar. For beginners I recommend starting on an acoustic. For more advanced or serious players it's fine to go with an electric. I recommend to all my students to develop a sense of their own playing style. No matter what level your playing is at, it'll help you stand out. You don't necessarily have to be a country guitarist or a metal guitarist. You can be influenced by any genre. It will help you be a more diverse player. I teach all styles of guitar including rock, pop, metal, country, blues, etc.

About Jason
I provide private music lessons for guitar, bass, saxophone, music theory and songwriting. I have been teaching for over seven years. I combine my passion for teaching and music business expertise to help students achieve their goals. There are many lesson options available including at my studio in South Windsor CT, online or at your location. I work with all of my students and parents to create customized teaching plans based on students learning styles, interests and goals. I am available to students outside of lesson time 7 days a week. I provide performance, writing, purchase and music recommendations and take an active interest in each of my students learning. Lesson times are exactly as stated. I allow extra time in between students so as to ensure no overlaps and everyone gets their allotted time.

I try to develop versatility a
nd well rounded musicians no matter the skill or age level. Each student attends lessons for different reasons.Students are encouraged to explore all genres of music and I believe in exposing them to a wide variety of styles and methods. I also encourage students, if interested to write original material. There are no restrictions when it comes to music and I incorporate both old school and contemporary methods into my teaching. Students will learn first hand how what they are learning applies to the real world, including song performance from their favorite artists. I strongly encourage all students to develop an individual personal sense of style when it comes to music performance.

As my guitar student, you will learn any and all facets of guitar playing that interest you: chord strumming, note reading, blues jamming, singing while playing, learning the real guitar parts to your favorite recordings, ... the choice is yours. I hold a B.M. degree from Berklee College of Music and I have been teaching guitar and performing throughout southern New England for more than three decades. I look forward to helping you achieve your musical goals and dreams on the guitar!

About Stan
Hi! I am a private music instructor offering lessons both in-studio and online. I hold a Bachelor of Music Degree from Berklee College of Music (Summa cum Laude) and I have over 36 years' full-time experience as an instructor.

I also have over four decades of experience as a professional jazz, rock, and theater musician. My experience has taken me from nightclubs to concert stages, as well as television studios, radio stations, and many recording studios.

Finally, I am a published author with several titles dedicated to helping musicians becoming the best they can be.

**** MY TEACHING STYLE ****

My teaching style is often referred to as laid-back, gentle, informative, and very supportive. My focus is on enrichment, encouragement, and results.

I don't work with “one-size-fits-all” methods. Each lesson is customized to mak
e the most of each student's own unique abilities, limitations, preferences, and interests. Whether students prefer, or do better with, traditional materials, playing/singing along with their favorite recordings, improvisation, or anything in between, I am more than happy to accommodate and bring out each student’s best!

I teach real music -- students begin playing music they love almost from day-one. For example, many of my piano and guitar students pride themselves on learning to play every song on the Beatles One album ... playing right along with the CD! Reading, playing by ear, improvisation (jamming), singing while you play ... there are so many ways to play and avenues to explore in music.

**** MY STUDIO ****

My studio is spacious (very spacious – no cubicles here!), well-appointed, and very quiet. Unlike music stores and multi-lesson facilities, there are no other lessons on the premises, no drummers going crazy on the other side of the wall. This means students can concentrate better and learn faster. There is also plenty of room for parents and siblings who may wish to sit in on lessons.

**** STYLES / GENRES ****

I believe that students make the most progress learning music they love and I am very happy to teach every student the style of music he or she loves most.

My most requested genres are: pop, rock, country, blues, classic rock, jazz, and classical. Some students arrive knowing exactly what they want, but most are happy to explore various styles that interest them in search of the perfect fit. It is not at all uncommon for a student to spend part of their lesson polishing up a Beethoven piece or jazz standard, then finish up playing the chords to “Hotel California” along with the CD. Another student might start off their lesson learning a Taylor Swift hit, then move over to doing some blues improvisation. Variety is a wonderful thing and it is highly encouraged!

**** MY STUDENTS ****

Over the years, I have taught students from four years old to eighty-somethings. I’ve taught absolute beginners (most of my students start from square-one), hobbyists, seasoned professionals, even a Grammy nominee and a Grammy winner! Many of my young students have gone on to perform in school bands / jazz bands and/or professionally. In all cases, they acquire a skill that will last for a lifetime and provide joy, enrichment, and satisfaction.

Do you have a song or two in your heart. Contact me today and I will help you reach your musical goals and have a good time doing it!

Take Guitar or Bass Guitar lessons from an experienced teacher and Hartt College graduate. In person one on one private lessons or webcam lessons if that is more convenient. Your lessons will be customized for what you want to learn. Rock, Blues, Folk, Country, Classical, Music Theory, chord playing, lead guitar, music reading, songwriting etc. Lessons can be as easy or challenging as you like depending on your goals. If you are new to guitar or bass guitar, if you tried playing guitar before and it didn't work out, or if you have been away for awhile, I'll do my best to make it a rewarding experience. If you have been playing for many years but feel stuck in a rut, I can get you out of it and teach you things you have wanted to learn. Great teaching environment.
