I am a self-taught musician with 15 years of experience playing electric and acoustic guitar. My lessons begin by learning what inspires you as a musician, and working to take you where you want to go! Learning some of your favorite songs is often a great place to start. By learning a variety of music, you'll quickly begin to notice patterns & understand basic theory on what notes work together well. From there, you can apply that knowledge to improvisation, as well as songs you may want to write!
From those first few lessons, there's a million different ways we can explore the guitar together. With my lessons, I offer recording time in my home studio where you can learn how to write, record, produce, and mix fully arranged songs!
Reach out to say hi, and let me know what some of your immediate goals and questions are!
Specialties: Indie, Rock, Pop, Alternative, Psychedelic, Folk, Acoustic.
Open to students of all ages.

Jared has excellent knowledge of music foundations and music theory.
Knows styles and genres, knows not only how to play but create too... And how this style was born.
He helps to build habit to do things right - I'm talking about technique - or, in other words - how to use your hands!
Same time he's extremely patient.
I'd like to recommend Jared for everyone who want's to learn play guitar (don't look at your age), his teaching approach works great, because he is teaching you and adjust classes for you.

Books can also take in your specific interests, rock, jazz, country, after basic concepts . I first learned guitar so I could accompany myself singing and played in the church contemporary group. Kayla uses her collegiate level music theory and performance background to educate on a plethora of subjects. However, she clearly communicates beneficial concepts to both children and adults alike.
I highly recommend Kayla both as a peer, and a student. I’ve benefited from her wisdom, and insight throughout the years, and I know you will too.

I've played all my life and have my own band. I started teaching guitar in 2008. I've worked with hundreds of students taking beginners to advanced level of playing. I offer lessons from 2 studios located in Tulsa and Broken Arrow. I teach from a variety of books and programs to help students become well rounded musicians. As for equipment, I use Marshall, Fender, and Line 6 amps, Ibanez and Gibson guitars, Guitar Pro for creating lessons, Garage Band for recording, and have a large collection of guitar effects pedals.
On average within 2 - 3 months a beginning student will be reading, counting, and playing songs.
My goal is to keep my students interested and happy while making sure they develop the proper musical foundation/knowledge that will allow them grow, overcome their musical walls, and become the musician they desire to be.
My philosophy is to teach students to be smart musicians. It does you no good if you can play a song but don't know what you are actually doing. So,

As a guitar player, I rarely had to deal with the issue of explaining what my instrument was to people I met. Even non-musicians are generally familiar with the guitar and the many forms and shapes it takes. When I made the transition to playing the lute, however, this changed significantly, due in no small part to the odd-looking case that I have to carry the instrument around in. People will often ask me, “What is a lute?” In truth, the history of the lute is a long one and I often s …
