Experienced music teacher with nearly 10 years experience teaching students of all ages and abilities from beginner to advanced. I also have experience teaching music to students with special needs, including autism and total vision impairment. I begin accepting students for guitar at age 4 and teach students up to age 99+. The ukulele is a great instrument for any age, but especially good for very young students or folks with smaller hands that find guitar too challenging to handle. With lessons from me, you'll learn to read music and understand tab, develop your ear for hearing music (ear training), music theory, and technique with a goal of getting you playing your favorite style of music in the quickest time possible. I can teach you to play whatever style you wish. I can even help you learn to compose your own music! Oh boy, do I love the Ukulele! This instrument is FUN. I became passionate about the ukulele a few years ago. This instrument is fun. We will learn our chords, learn a lot of unique strumming patters and work on our rhythm. We will also learn how to take some classic rock and roll guitar songs and turn them into happy-go-lucky-uke tunes!
This instrument is PERFECT for beginners - adults and children!
About Rachel
I started my musical path in a Ballet Studio. I fell in love with the crackle of the vinyl record playing as I learned to listen and dance with the rhythm. I started playing the guitar when I was in elementary and took classical lessons until I was a teenager.I really enjoy the art of practice

LOVE MUSIC? PLAY IT!
I am a former classroom music teacher, with an MA in Music Education, and I have been a working musician/recording artist for 30 years. I am patient and experienced in getting results. I believe the recipe for music education is Knowledge, Practice, and Fun = Joy. Spreading joy is a valuable service for good community.
I can help every student achieve his or her goals, whether it's to lead a campfire circle or play Carnegie Hall someday. (One of my students opened for B.B. King, and most of my students will play music for the rest of their lives. Some have grown to lead their own bands.)
I offer lessons in:
Guitar: All styles: Beginner to Advanced.
Piano, voice, ukulele, saxophone, and recording: Beginner to Intermediate.
About San
I have played music since I was able to sit at a piano at age 5. I began guitar at age 9 and wrote my first song shortly after that. My first real gig was at age 23 for three years in a specialty 1950's Rock and Roll band. I went on to record a CD as a solo artist in 1996, and was the leader of

The ukulele is the #1 instrument I recommend for beginners, though I also use it on professional recordings. It's a versatile instrument that provided an excellent gateway to connecting with other musicians.
When I teach ukuklele, I of course focus on the fundamentals of technique that make it easy to play well, but I also work from the goals of the students and help them develop a plan to connect to to other people or an experience.
About Jonathan
I studied music therapy and music theory at Temple University from '06-'10. Learned a lot. Then again, I learned even more teaching at a school for kids with learning disabilities and working as a traveling street performer. Once you see the world and work with some unexpected challenges, you learn

Over the past 12 years, we've given over 3,000,000 lessons to happy customers around the world.

Very very good uke teacher. He goes the extra thousand miles. When I give him my songsheet of what I want to learn He already had played it on his music box to show me the right rhythm. When I got a songsheet that was for guitar he transpose it to ukulele. He listened carefully and give me feedback on how to improve my playing. He showed me the correct finger position for the harder chords and give me ideas of how to practice certain strums. Very nice and professional ! Makes me want to practice my uke more. Thouroughly enjoyable experience !"

His goal was to make it a fun experience while simultaneously practicing and learning about music theory. He had us making original songs on the second day."
