I played guitar when I was a boy and now teach Acoustic Guitar plus Electric Guitar and Effects. I specialize in songs from the American Songbook (show tunes movie themes, etc) plus the blues and improvisation for working musicians.

We focus on playing and writing music immediately, the theory is second, music playing and having fun is first!

I'm 31 years old and I have been playing music in bands of all kinds since I was 15. I practiced 3 years before I actually played with anyone and once I did I learned so much more. My prices are so I can give each student my undivided attention, even the 30 minute may go on longer if the student is hungry. I've been teaching lessons since 2005. In the guitar lesson, we will learn basic chords and note reading and playing. You will learn to play the individual notes in the song as well as play chords.

Of any style, of any technique, I provide comprehensive levels in understanding both the tools necessary to play the guitar as well as the perspectives and appreciation relative to truly understand this instrument.
