I excel at teaching young people how to navigate the guitar using single notes, chords etc. I will teach you how to read music as well as how to use chords to cover your favorite songs or even write some of your own!

My primary goal as a teacher is to present musical material in a way that keeps students excited about what they are learning. Even with absolute beginners, I will have a student playing actual songs that they are interested in as quickly as possible. Along with way I include fundamentals such as scales, strength-building exercises, rudiments of theory, and ear training.
I also use interactive music websites to introduce students to concepts of music theory.

I have been playing instruments for years, such as Cello, Piano and of course Guitar. I have received the best instruction in learning and playing the guitar when I first started playing guitar in high school. My Guitar teacher has multiple degrees in teaching and playing guitar. I have also had the privilege of being his guitar teacher assistant for two years, which has helped me learn and grow as a teacher. To top everything off, I am also a two year pavan graduate which is a fine arts school. I really learned lots of cool stuff about guitar there and would love to share my knowledge with you!

I am an experienced, educated, professional guitar player with a background in rock, blues, worship, jazz, classical, contemporary, country, and folk guitar. I have played/led for numerous worship teams, independent bands, and ensembles which are detailed in my "about me" section. I graduated Magna-Cum Laude from UTA with a bachelors degree in Music-Media with guitar as my primary performing instrument. I am the worship leader for Redemption Bible Church, a private guitar instructor, and an on-staff session guitarist and music producer.

It is beneficial to your mind and soul, and can lead you in many positive directions in life. My goal is to help cultivate excitement in my students, and to keep learning fun and interesting. We will focus on what it is that gravitates you to the guitar, and break down what you will need to learn to gain the freedom you are looking for. My aim is that you will always continue to pick up the guitar on your own out of the joy of playing, instead of feeling like you have to. The guitar doesn't have to be a rigid instruction, it is fun, free, creative and different for everyone!
