My first lesson with Zach was great! 5 stars. He asked the right questions as to what aI am looking to do. And we quickly came up with a lesson plan that with the right amount of work in my part will get me headed in the right direction. Zach does a great job of making his students feel comfortable and good about their abilities.

Great experience with Zach. I'm still learning how to sing properly, though.

I have been playing since age 4 and teaching privately for 13 years.

A one hour lesson includes 10 minutes scales, 15 minutes etude or exercises and 35 minutes piece. I teach sizuki method up to book 6 or whenever the student wants to switch over to concertos

I recommend sitt scale book and kaiser etudes.
I like to have my student write his/her own exercises until really comfortable reading music

Each lesson is fun and engaging. My philosophy is to teach students how to teach themselves and how to think critically about problem solving. A variety of music and exercises will be introduced. Younger students will play a variety of theory games and do exercises to accelerate their potential.

Jenae is a great teacher!

My son just started violin lessons with Jenae and after barely a month is making great progress and staying motivated, even though he's starting this endeavor at almost 11 years old. Jenae's approach is very encouraging and methodical. We have been very pleased with our choice.

I had a great first lesson with Damien. He is patient and extremely considerate. Damien took the time to determine a baseline of my general knowledge. He answered my questions and fully explained the concepts that we discussed. At all times I felt that I was having a positive experience and I have set goals for my next lesson. I am energized and motivated to continue and look forward to my next lesson with Damien.

"Paul has been a wonderful instructor for our 9 year old. He has a way of teaching while incorporating structured learning techniques that kept my son engaged in the lesson (no small feat for him!). Paul demonstrated absolute patience with my son and taught him the new while reinforcing some core violinist positioning and methods. He is very communicative and available when there are questions. The platform for doing remote violin lessons has worked out surprisingly nicely! I highly recommend Paul!"

"I started working with Andrew after an 18 month hiatus and am very pleased. Andrew's teaching style is very adaptable, which for an adult student who works full time, is great. Some weeks I don't have a lot of time to practice and we focus on technique. Other times, we work on music and technique. He is also great about explaining the "how" and the "why" of why musicians should spend time on scales, technique, etc;
I would absolutely recommend Andrew to adult students and younger student.s"

"Miss Benita as we call her :) is so good with my 8-year-old daughter. In just 3 lessons they have built a great rapport. Benita is relaxed, reassuring, with a great sense of humor while at the same time imparting great knowledge of the violin to my daughter. I appreciate her welcoming us into her family home even during the pandemic. We felt that in-person instruction would be more desirable than online, and I think that my daughter is learning so much more with our arrangement."

"Having worked with Nikita and knowing him personally, I hold him in very high regards. Not only Nikita is an outstanding performer and musician, but he also is a very strong teacher, who holds high level of professionalism. Nikita finds individual approach to each one of his students, helps them find passion for music within themselves and express it in their performance, all of which are key pedagogical qualities. Having music as an essence of his life, Nikita naturally sparks love for music in other people. Nikita gave me many helpful tips on how to become a better performer, as well as how to have the confidence to be one. But above all, Nikita has a very bright personality, a very lighthearted sense of humor and a natural ability drive people towards him. Nikita is a very inspiring young man."

How Long Does it Take to Learn Violin?

  Wouldn’t it be great to learn to play an instrument in minutes? Think of the musical repertoire you would have! Unfortunately, like many different skill sets, that simply isn’t the case.
