Violin with Christopher B.

Christopher is an accomplished Violist, Baroque Violist, Teacher and leader who is currently teaching and freelancing in the Boston and Cleveland areas.  As a violist, Christopherhas appeared on stages around the globe from Symphony Hall in Boston to the Salle de Combins at the Verbier Festival to the Regina Mundi Church in Soweto, South Africa to the Musikverein in Vienna.  He has toured extensively with the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra and appeared at summer festivals in Switzerland, Italy, Hungary and across the United States.  As an orchestra player, he has held principal and section roles in the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, Mahler Student Festival Orchestra, Oberlin Baroque Orchestra and Verbier Festival Orchestra among others. Also an avid chamber musician, Chris has performed a multitude of works from the standard canon all the way through commissions written for his chamber music program.  Chris has also collaborated with accomplished artists such as Wynton Marsalis, Nicola Benedetti, Benjamin Zander, Bruce Coppock, James Gaffigan and many more. As an educator, Chris is currently on faculty at the Trala music school, and works as a substitute coach for the ChamberMusicLab at the Rivers school in Weston Massachusetts.  Perhaps most importantly in his life, Chris is a lifelong leader and one who inspires people through his playing and teaching.
