About Mark T
I have been playing since I was 4 years old and have been loving every minute of it. I have been fortunate to play and tour with many groups here in the US and in Europe. Over the years I have really enjoyed passing on my knowledge and love of music making to others. I would be honored if you gave me the opportunity to help your or your family achieve their musical dreams.

First and foremost I am very laid back and that helps my students relax into the process of making great music. Expect your first lesson to be about getting to know each other and getting a firm idea of what your expectations are.

Everyone learns at a different pace and has changing interests. Within the framework of moving you towards your musical goals I create custom goals and lessons for my students.

What does that mean? Well, y
ou can pick out some of your own music, customize the way you practice, decide when you want to move forward with more challenging music and many other things.

I do expect my students to learn several pieces of music at a time and perform so you can share your music. That's what it is all about after all!

*** Studio Equipment ***

Mark was an excellent teacher! I have never touched a violin before taking lessons with him and Mark, being a very patient and encouraging teacher, went through the basics and had me playing songs in just a few weeks! Mark made going to lessons fun and engaging and I enjoyed going to each and every lesson! If you are looking for fun lessons where you will learn a lot with a very talented, patient and encouraging teacher, then I highly recommend taking lessons with Mark!

Mark is a great teacher. I hadn’t played in over 35 years and he had me playing reasonably in no time. I loved how he was able to adjust to my skills and provide a personal program.

Nikita is definitely a talented teacher. My daughter has had three other violin teachers and he is the best so far. Not only does he do a good job of teaching the notes, but he incorporates history and teaches his students how to play with passion. He is kind and patient and I would highly recommend him. Sadly, he is a bit on the expensive side.

TEACHING
As a performer, soloist and active chamber musician, and as a pedagogue, I provide private lessons to any individual interested in the art of music, education, and the good times. My teaching welcomes individuals from the youngest to college students. My primary instrument is the Viola, and simultaneously I focus on the instruction of the Violin, and the early and beginning studies of the piano. I have great experience as master class teacher, sectional leader, group teaching, and individual or one-in-one pioneer.

About Maria
BIOGRAPHY
Violist Maria F. V. began her music studies at the Carabobo Music Conservatory where she played in the Infantile & Youth Orchestras, and in the Carabobo Symphony Orchestra. She then transcended her studies to the Simon Bolivar Music Conservatory and into the Simon Bolivar Youth Orchestra of Venezuela. She has performed with different other orchestras such Venezuela Youth National Orchestra, New Jersey Youth Orchestra, Peru National Orchestra, Gustav Mahler Symphony Orchestra, and Latin-American Symphony Orchestra. She has worked with conductors such as Eduardo Salazar, Joshua Dos Santos, Gustavo Dudamel, Sir Simon Rattle and Claudio Abbado.

She holds a BM Performance degree from University of Kentucky, and a MM Performance degree from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro where she worked as Teacher Assistant under Sco
tt Rawls. She has attended several music festivals within the United States and Internationally such as: Cincinnati Conservatory Music Festival, Cleveland Institute of Music Viola Workshop, Brevard Music Festival, Aspen Music Festival, Orford Music Center in Canada, Parma Conservatory-Italy, Musica en Compostela in Spain, and many others. Back at home in Venezuela she is considered founder of el Sistema’s Carabobo Music Conservatory. Her Major teachers include Santiago Garmendia, Margaret Karp, John Graham, and Scott Rawls.

THE OUTCOMES
Apart from the academic outcomes the student will obtain at lessons, my intentions as a teacher and artist is to incorporate and welcome the student in the fantastic music world and literature. One of the many purposes of music is the idea of the student developing a sense of responsibility along with following tasks in a didactic and dynamic manner. I love bringing and promoting the idea and the philosophy of enthusing and inculcating a leadership position of the student in the family, and building most importantly a harmonic and artistic environment among their relatives and into their homes. I love to program and propose little student recitals in where the student will have the opportunity in performing the pieces worked throughout the teaching sessions in a little concert for their friends and family. Every student loves the fun in which they get from these opportunities and from their performance experiences. I do believe that the learning and instruction of music is an important influential factor in participating and in the development of many other abilities and skills; in the expansion and promotion of creativity, the adoption of a more discipline attitude for other arts, it helps to easier approach other academic courses, and to focus on developing the tools and creativity to participate at their schools and anywhere else.

METHODOLOGIES
About the teaching methods used, I basically like to approach the beginner student through the methods of Suzuki, which is a very efficient and didactic method most pedagogues uses today. This one is a clear method that demands from the student and it simultaneous engages the interaction and participation of their parents, family, friends, and their community as well. In other occasions, it is most common that I would also incorporate a new student to my studio-transfer students-, who would have used other materials and methods with his/her previous instructor. In this case I would continue using his/her methods to examine the level and content learned and practiced. Then, it is in later lessons where we might establish and suggest other good methods and books to which the student might be ready to switch or scale up to.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Books, Stands, Metronomes, Chairs, Tuning & repair equipment, and more.

Violin lessons with fun songs and strong music basics. Based on each student's strengths and weaknesses. And also, what they would like to learn and get out of lessons.

I like to keep lessons fun and interesting for each student. While concentrating on tone, rhythm, and creativity too. Look forward to getting you started!

About Paul
***My goal as a teacher***

I try to teach what the students are interested in and make it fun and interesting so that they learn the lessons and their favorite songs. Every student is different and needs to be taught in a way that makes learning easy and fun for them.

I have a passion for all people and all ages and am blessed to be able to teach from the very young, (ages 2-5 Toddlermusik lessons) to teens and adults.....all the way to senior citizens. I've had many older students all the way up to a 93 year old gentleman who is taking singing lessons and asked me to put music to his lyrics. We have recorded over 50 songs together.

***Background***

I started playing trumpet in 5th grade and knew that music was for me. I also liked playing with drums and piano also because they seemed exciting. I've competed in WSMA (Wi
sconsin School Music Assoc.) for many years which taught me a lot about performing for judges, being relaxed, and the importance of preparation.

I started playing the guitar and bass guitar when I was 13 and have never stopped practicing and performing since. I also have done a lot of writing, recording, producing, and have a Pro Tools Studio for students to use.

***College and Teaching***

I began teaching music lessons in college and enjoyed it very much. I received my B.A. in Music from the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point. There I was very much involved with guitar, piano, voice, trumpet, and being in bands and writing music. After receiving my B.A. I also took 3 years of Education classes at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. I write, produce, and perform my music along with performing with bands around the Midwest.

***Life in Music***

After receiving my B.A. in Music, I continued teaching and opened up my home studio. After a year and a half I had enough students that I was able to quit my factory job and teach music full time. I've been teaching, performing, and writing music ever since.

***Performing and more***

I have been on stage performing music since I was 11. In school band, marching band, competing in music competitions, and in bands touring the Midwest.

I have recorded many CDs with bands and on my own. My most ambitious project was a CD of my original music called, "Girls". I've performed my music and promoted it by being interviewed on Milwaukee radio stations along with internet music sites such as CD Baby. It is very exciting talking on live radio about my music and my passion. It is also even more exciting, and scary, playing my music live on the radio, lol.

***Instruments Taught***

I have been teaching for over 2 decades. Students take lessons for:
* guitar (electric / acoustic)
* piano
* violin
* voice
* drums
* trumpet
* saxophone
* harmonica
* music theory / ear training
* studio recording / songwriting

I also give kindermusik lessons to 2-5 year old all the way up to senior citizens 70-93. I play parties, concerts, and Nursing Home performances.

I am experienced as an online (Skype) instructor, and I have taught online lessons worldwide. I've witnessed great results from my online students (both national and international).

I hope I can help you with all of your musical goals and get you going in a positive musical direction.

I meet Paul about three months ago, While not a complete beginner, I had tried to teach myself thru out the years and picked up a lot of bad habits. Paul helped me to see and fix my habits. Paul is a very qualified teacher, of many instruments, drums, keyboards, guitar, and others. I'm 59 years old, Paul doesn't mind my age, doesn't treat me like I'm too old to learn new stuff. And is more than willing to see me thru complete guitar instruction. Thanks Paul...

Aside from all the technical aspects of learning violin, I will coach you to become a confident musician. You will achieve this confidence by strengthening your skills and having fun at the same time!

You will learn: proper technique, music theory, music history, to sight-read, tune your violin, solos, collaborate with other musicians, how to conduct, and how to prepare for an audition.

I take the lessons at the student's learning pace, and I challenge them to get past mental barriers.

Whether you are playing as a hobby, interested in preparing for an audition, or simply need extra help, this is the place for you. You must be able to purchase/rent a violin.

If you want lessons in your home, contact me and we will see if I can make the arrangements, otherwise, lessons are held in my home studio, or online.

About Souaad
*Se habla Español! Mándeme un mensaje si tiene preguntas :) *

Hello there, curious musician to be!

Over the past few years I've developed the most beautiful relationships with my students, and their families. I've helped complete beginners gain enough skills, and confidence to perform in recitals in front of over 50 guests! If you're interested in performing, I host 2 recitals a year, and they're a huge hit!

Many of my students have auditioned, and been accepted into theater companies, and orchestras. Whether you are just starting out, or are looking to improve on your skills, this is the studio for you.

I started playing violin when I was 10 and have performed with several Honors Orchestras, mariachis, as well as professional groups. My Junior and Senior year of high school I was honored to be Concertmaster.

I began
my classical vocal training at San Diego State University in Spring of 2012. I was trained as a Soprano and an Alto because of my coachability, and musicianship. Since then I have worked with several talented and dynamic directors throughout my training experience. I have attended the annual San Diego Summer Choral Festival, as well as the Conducting Workshop, which consisted of an intensive choral training weekend followed by performances. I am also part of a professional choir in San Diego called Pro Arte Voices; we recently recorded our second CD on Spring '17. Lastly, I am a strong advocate for the arts in our community and am very proud to be a teacher. Most recently, I have started developing a choir program for the youth at a local church. In the near future I have plans of developing a music program for underprivileged youth, which would incorporate choir, and orchestra. I continue to work on myself so that I can always give my best to my students, and teach them something new. I look forward to making music with you, or your little one soon :)

As a violist with a Master’s degree in Performance from the prestigious Colburn Conservatory, an experienced teacher mentored by respected Suzuki expert Shelley Bears Schleigh and chosen for a Teaching Fellowship with renowned Robert Duke, and an individual with an insatiable passion for psychology and development at all stages, Rachyl offers the complete package of polished performer, trained teacher, and passionate mentor. She has a particular interest in the development of young children, and, having moved to New York in 2017 from the San Diego Symphony to teach at the Brooklyn Music School, Rachyl is living her dream as a teacher. Her main goal for 2018-19 is to further this dream by expanding her studio. You/your child will receive consistent, dedicated care, individually tailored attention according to needs, abilities, and learning styles, and the inspiration to feed the brain and the soul with musical knowledge.

About Rachyl
Teaching is my passion, and the reason I moved to New York. From a young age I have always been deeply invested in the subjects of Development and Nurturing. I consider it my calling in life to pursue these subjects through teaching. My goal is always first and foremost to form a true connection with each individual student, observing their learning patterns carefully and trying different approaches until the student is thriving. My approach is continually positive, reinforcing excellent habits and achievements, and striving to find tiny goals that make a student feel he or she is constantly succeeding. My students find that their trajectory is continually upwards. You or your child would receive regular performance opportunities, regular specific feedback, consistent attention and high-quality musical training.

I am professional violist
, and a violin and viola instructor from the Philadelphia area. I graduated with my Master of Music in Performance with a Teaching Fellowship from the Colburn Conservatory in Los Angeles, a selective school which accepts only 125 students total on full scholarship including room and board. I also spent one year in the San Diego Symphony. I have performed in eight states as well as in Canada and Austria. I now teach lessons at the Brooklyn Music School and for such agencies as Thumbtack, Musika, and Music To Your Home. Last year I taught music at the Brooklyn Heights Montessori School. My primary background is in the Suzuki Method; I have taken the official introductory course this past year, and plan to become officially certified this year. I have taught all levels, learning styles, and ages, I have background working with students who need special consideration, such as those on the autism spectrum or with attention disorders.

As a teacher of both violin and viola, my mission is to help prepare students to both build a skill-set on their instrument and aid in the organizational process towards becoming a confident and articulate musician and person. My studies with an extremely diverse group of professional musicians during the course of my student life have greatly shaped the way I view my own playing, and I aim to bring the best of my training to my current and future students. Students can expect to engage with the organizational, technical, theoretical, and artistic elements of being a musician.

About Brandin
Brandin Kreuder (24) enjoys a growing career as a chamber musician, studio musician, and as an orchestral musician. Mr. Kreuder began the violin at the age of 9, and at 23 he switched primarily to the viola. In 2018, at the age of 24 he was named a finalist for the New World Symphony Orchestra in Miami Beach, Florida. He is currently the viola TA to Brittany MacWilliams at the University of Louisville School of Music, and performs in the graduate string quartet.

With a strong entrepreneurial drive, Mr. Kreuder performs with pianist Craig Jordan as Duo Vis-À-Vis. They have performed five self-organized concert tours since meeting in 2016. Recent performance locations have included Kansas City, Missouri; Boulder, Colorado; San Francisco, California; Madison, Wisconsin; and Amsterdam, Netherlands.

As a fellow with the Henry Mancini I
nstitute orchestra at the University of Miami from 2016-2018, Mr. Kreuder has performed and shared the stage with Julie Andrews, John Williams, Kristen Chenoweth, Matthew Morrison, Bruce Hornsby, Monica Mancini, and James Galway (among others). In 2017, he served as the concertmaster for the world premiere performance of The Pink Panther live with the film in Boca Raton, Florida.

In summer of 2016, Mr. Kreuder was accepted as a leadership scholar to the Sewanee Music Festival in Tennessee, where he had the privilege to attend on full scholarship and coach student chamber groups. In 2014 he attended the Oberlin Baroque Performance Institute (BPI), as an intern on full scholarship. Mr. Kreuder credits baroque practice to developing looser playing.

Mr. Kreuder has performed in pit orchestras for over 30 theatre productions. In the summers of 2018 and 2017 he held the position of Principal Viola with the College Light Opera Company in Cape Cod, after formerly serving as Assistant Concertmaster in 2015. Additionally, he worked as the Principal Second Violin with the Franco American Vocal Academy in Périgueux, France.

Mr. Kreuder has been fortunate to perform on a number of fine instruments, including a 17th century Andrea Guarneri violin from Lawrence University, and most recently a Gaetano Gadda viola on short-term loan from violinist Charles Castleman.

Outside of music, Mr. Kreuder exhibits his ceramic and drawing work professionally. In spring of 2018, he had work exhibited in both Petoskey and Traverse City, Michigan. In April of 2017, other work was featured in a juried exhibit in Miami’s Wynwood art district, where it was selected as the Best of Show. Mr. Kreuder is also an avid traveler and has visited 12 countries outside of the USA.
