I have played the ukulele for several years, and it is still one of my favorite instruments to listen to. It's a wonderful tool for learning basic music concepts and is pretty easy to pick up. I love teaching pop music adaptation and intricate picking techniques on this instrument.

I've been teaching ukulele for 5 years and it is one of my favorite instruments to play and teach! Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to play several chords and as time goes on you'll be able to play the songs that interest you most. I specialize in pop music and typically use the Alfred Ukulele Method for Kids books or the Hal Leonard Ukulele Books for older students. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!

Ukulele is a newer instrument to me, but I have been teaching and performing for over 8 years now. I have played music since age 5 starting with violin and later guitar, which I studied at Berklee College of Music. Uke became a recent passion as I formed an acoustic duo of cello and ukulele (and singing) called DvOd that has performed all over the NW and released a CD. I provide a core curriculum of basic technique and music knowledge, combined with customizing to the student's interest. From Traditional Hawaiian to Eddie Vedder to Jake Shimabukuro, I can help you learn your favorites.
