I've been playing guitar for 17 years and teaching for 8. In my teaching experiences so far, my students have gone from little or absolutely no experience, to playing their favorite songs in just a few short weeks. I will work with you to set goals and will customize lessons to work toward accomplishing them.

About Rebecca

Becca is an excellent teacher. She is very patient and explains things very well. She's also prompt and communicative and easy to work with on scheduling.

Based on our first lesson, I would highly recommend Becca for a teacher of young kids. She came to the class prepared, was very patient with my son, and left him wanting more and with something to work on. It was a very good experience.

Beginning guitar is all about finding the motivation to get the student through the first stages. You'll have fun while learning good habits and getting your fingers to the point where they can play what you want.

The best guitar lessons are multi-faceted from the beginning. You start playing songs right away, all the while learning other things about music, good habits, simple songs, and helpful hints.

No experience is necessary to start picking up simple techniques that get you musical as soon as possible. Even at the very beginning, when we're learning simple scales and chords, every effort is made to help exercises not merely produce the tones required, but in a musical, emotionally-connecting way.
Music is the language of emotion, and you can learn that language.

We focus on:

Personal service,

Keeping the student interested and having fun while learning,

Working at the pace of the individual students,

Keeping the student's goals in mind,

Helping the student break ...

I have taught guitar for 10 years and believe students should get to play what they want to play! Students are asked to come up with a list of songs and/or artists they would love to play. Through teaching chords, note reading and theory, the song possibilities are endless! I also can help the aspiring singer/guitar player to be able to both play and sing simultaneously.

"Taking lessons with Trevor has been exactly what I wanted. He’s incredibly knowledgeable about the guitar on a technical level and about music from a theory background. His experience across genres is so impressive and gives him such an effortlessness in his work. He is always willing (and able) to put in work outside of lesson time to chart out a song or prepare a tailored lesson for the future. He’s an all around great dude and has been a pleasure to work with!"

"Just had my first 1-on-1 guitar lesson with Ahmad today. The best part is that you really get individual attention and a customized package. (I have pretty complex taste for different kinds of stuff these days. Facing music, I am like a baby still trying to figure out things.) The booking of classes was super easy and hassle-free.
Ahmad was efficient and helpful, so lessons are indeed of very good value.
Everything's looking good! Playing guitar and immersing yourself in the music make you feel even better, always!! =)"

"Wonderful guitar teacher!

Jason has been teaching our son for 3 years and has been a wonderful teacher during that time. He has been supportive, patient and encouraging of our son, even on the weeks he hasn't practiced as much as he should have. Jason is quick to respond when I call and always communicates with me if something comes up. Our son loves playing guitar and has developed a love of the Beatles, thanks to Jason teaching him various Beatles' songs."

"Dennis has been my guitar teacher since May 2014, but he has really been much more than that. He has a great ability to create lessons that help you to understand the musical context behind the chords and notes. In the process of learning, you find yourself wanting to explore music theory and practice (not really two separate things in Dennis' world) even more, and I can honestly that I have learned so much not just from the guitar lessons themselves but but also from our conversations about music. If you want to make a long-term investment in learning the language of music and how it manifests itself on the fretboard and the vibrations of six steel/nylon strings, then I would recommend buying some of this stock!"

"Kirk is excellent...I can't emphasize that enough. My daughter is 11 and he is beyond patient with her. He teaches by guiding her and letting her find her own answer. She really likes writing songs so he's supported that in his lessons by using what she comes up with during the week in between for the next lesson, weaving it into what he's teaching her for the day. I also really appreciate how he works on form with her, which is key to being a good guitarist and again it is through example, guiding her , and explaining things in ways that make sense to her. He has a very calm and relaxed demeanor. Also he's in a master's program for music, guitar concentration, so he really knows all aspects of it. I am taking classic guitar lessons once I can afford it. Kirk is one of the best teachers I've worked with and I recommend him for anyone. Thanks, Kirk!"

"A.H.M.A.D. is no doubt one of the most humble, approachable, and skillful guitar teacher you can find around. I have been studying with Ahmad for the past 3 and a half months. Ahmad was not the first music instructor I had. He is however, the best one so far by a large margin. Since the first lesson Ahmad has been extremely professional and organized in his teaching methods. He is able to quickly identify my strengths and weaknesses as a player, tailor his lessons to fit my capabilities, and help me improve in great effectiveness.

I took lessons once a week with Ahmad, and every week I could see noticeable improvements because Ahmad assigned me homework that was fun and challenging but never frustrating. But beyond this, not only have I become a more skilled guitar player, through Ahmad help I was also able to apply a lot of the theoretical music knowledge in other aspects. When I hear a piece of music, I find that I am slowly able to identify parts of the music, break it down into logical steps, and connect the music to the fretboard of the guitar.

I am a college student with a busy schedule both on and off work, but with Ahmad I was able to greatly improve nonetheless. Thank you Ahmad , I really look forward to coming back to the area and be your student again."
