Ukulele is an interesting instrument with a lot of similar characteristics to guitar. I have been playing ukulele for the past year now and it's substantially easier to play and faster to learn then guitar, but you can develop skills that will transfer over to the guitar.

Learn chords, strumming and finger-style patterns and how to play your favorite songs on the ukulele! Ukulele is a wonderful instrument for young children to start their music education on, as well as a great course of study for adults and especially guitarists wanting to improve their chord theory. I've been playing ukulele for 13 years and teaching for 8 years

I have been playing the ukulele for approximately 10 years. I can help you to acquire a solid foundation of music theory knowledge. You can help to better understand music theory concepts if they are paired with instrumental techniques to supplement them. If you are a complete beginner of any age, do not be afraid! I will help you to learn at a pace which is comfortable but still effective for you. These lessons will be focused and designed to fit YOUR needs. Let's learn together :)

The ukulele is the #1 instrument I recommend for beginners, though I also use it on professional recordings. It's a versatile instrument that provided an excellent gateway to connecting with other musicians. When I teach ukuklele, I of course focus on the fundamentals of technique that make it easy to play well, but I also work from the goals of the students and help them develop a plan to connect to to other people or an experience.

The first thing I do before the first day of class is send out an enthusiastic email to introduce myself. We then Briefly discuss the learning goals for the course based on the visual literacy, technical, and intellectual competencies the students would like to achieve by the end of a period through the questionnaire. This is ideal for me to design the course or update an existing course for the student's desired outcomes. The customized syllabus and the schedule are completed along with a comprehensive strategy for what will take place during our lesson together. I incorporate technology all the time. I'm also inclusive driven because I believe everyone can learn no matter their capabilities or background, I also engage with my students by catering to their interests, and I embrace my dualities and share them with my students.

I've been teaching ukulele for 4 years helping students develop a love for the instrument and learn more about music along the way. Ukulele is a great instrument for an introduction into stringed instruments and as a casual pastime, but when pursued seriously can be as rigorous as any other. Within the first few lessons you'll have a solid base of strumming patterns and chord changes and even a few simple songs under your belt. Moving on from there I will craft lessons to move you toward a "goal song," making sure to cater your progress to your needs while keeping a focus on good technique. I enjoy working with students of all ages and experiences and I can't wait to meet you!
