An experienced and registered Suzuki teacher, my students learn to play violin starting from a solid foundation with emphasis on posture and producing a beautiful tone. In addition to playing the instrument, students can expect to learn reading music, basic theory, music history, and ear training. Learning violin will teach patience, concentration, the value of hard work, coordination, as well as enhancing memory, aural skills, and fine motor control. It was Dr. Suzuki's belief and mine that learning an instrument not only fosters these skills but also helps to foster the hearts and minds of those learning the craft.

I teach everything from beginner to advanced, basics to shifting, vibrato, theory, and technique. I teach classical, religious, fiddle, and pop. I also teach group ensembles, trios, quartets, etc. I help students with their school orchestral music and audition pieces also.

I teach from the earliest beginner through adult. My violin students are currently performing for different schools and ensembles. When students are performing with orchestras, much time is spent working on that music as well as their regular music.

In my one hour of comprehensive teaching, students learn extensively the techniques of the violin, including tone production, vibrato, musicality and pieces of music which are chosen from standard violin literature or Suzuki books. The whole idea is to get students to look at the whole learning process as a fun activity, and very soon they acquire the ability to produce beautiful sounds, correct intonation and strong vibrato. In addition to the above, I conduct some some ear-training exercises to improve intonation as well.

Melodies in your head and a song in your heart, but your voice isn't so great, or maybe it is. I can teach your to connect the physicality and express yourself with a Violin or Viola. (soprano or Alto). The tough part is learning hold to hold the violin properly. It takes a couple months to train the muscles a new stance. With my help your posture and breathing will become as one with the music It's not a myth, the violin is the most complex instrtument to learn.
