I played music professionally for many years, both solo and in a variety of bands. I did not enjoy performing. I am a songwriter and my studio is where I feel most comfortable. I teach finger-style acoustic guitar as my default but enjoy other styles as well. Regardless of style, it will always be combined with a strong understanding of music theory and guitar basics. It doesn't matter If you are interested in more advanced topics (i.e. songwriting, recording, etc.) or are a complete beginner. I am happy to work with all levels. Let's get started. You can do this!
About Chuck
I've been writing and recording music my whole life. Aside from motorcycle riding, it's my true love.

I have had innumerable music instructors over the course of many years, including group and now individual guitar lessons with David. Without reservation, in all regards he is the best I have had. His knowledge of music and ability to teach, to all ages and levels, are extraordinary. I frequently recommend him to others with enthusiasm and without qualification. In a nutshell: You could not find a better guitar instructor."

With his ability to teach guitar, drums, keyboard, and also songwriting, my hyper 5 year old is never board. I'm not interested right now in pushing one instrument over the other. I just want her to be "exposed" to different instruments, develop an ear for music, see how she can take her lyrics (budding songwriter, with her singing her day all the time), and enhance it with an instrument. Jason can do all that, because he has the knowledge, but he's also very FLEXIBLE and can easily transition from one insturment and teaching method to another, depending on where a young student's mind and interests take them in any given moment.
Learning to play traditionally/classically, slowly, methodically, step-by-step, learning formal music theory, doing drills and so forth is awesome, and Jason can do that. However, if you want to learn to play for fun, and begin jamming sooner than later...he's definately your man."

Truly, Blake is the most talented person I have ever known."
