I have been teaching children of all age groups to acquire a solid foundation in violin playing. Whether it be pre-K beginners, or high school students getting ready for college auditions, I will communicate with the students and parents to set a number of goals to achieve.
I also welcome adult students, beginners and amateur enthusiasts alike.

In addition to gaining expertise in the techniques in violin playing, students in my studio will be given opportunities to gain comprehensive music knowledge including theory, sight singing, ear training, and any relevant music history, as the above-mentioned knowledge are indispensable elements in violin playing. Singing and clapping are essential parts of the lesson. When students are equipped with the basics, they can play anything and make the music they want.

In teaching lessons, it is my great pleasure to share with students of all ages and skill levels the knowledge that I've gained over 27 years of playing. I firmly believe that anyone can learn anything at any time, given the proper tools!

In our first lesson, we will determine your musical goals and create a realistic path to achieving them. It's my job to help you along this path while keeping things fun.

To maintain focus and week-to-week continuity, I always provide lesson notes to take home. I can also provide recordings of lessons and transcriptions of pieces, if desired.

I am from south america, I bring an international vision to music, I speak both English and Spanish, I began with suzuki method but shifted to european traditional violin training/school so I got to experience both sides and would love my students to do so as well.

If I were to say 15 years on the violin, that would be a shocking time. I did earn my Bachelor’s Degree in Music where I received most of my education in both violin and piano. In my perspective, the violin is such an intricate instrument and I am blessed to work with students in wanting to learn violin. It’s true where putting the hard work in violin takes you where you need to be. It does require Practice! I am willing to work with the student and help them grow in advancing this instrument. Since 2011, I've had the joy of teaching students how to play the violin to the best of their ability. From six year olds just starting out to adults in their 80s who want to learn just for fun, I've successfully taught the skills and techniques to make music on this beautiful instrument.

With a gentle, patient approach, I custom-tailor each lesson to the student's goals, interests, and abilities. Within that framework, I place an emphasis on proper position, technique and intonation. To provide a thorough and well-rounded music education, I also teach note reading, music theory, and ear-training. I do everything I can to make learning fun and engaging -- often using games, flashcards, and interactive exercises to teach certain concepts, especially for younger players. I am very passionate about technique, and so I make sure each student is set up for success by encouraging good posture and both left and right hand placements. I believe scales are vital, so each of my students does a variety of scales and rhythm exercises to ensure they are confident in counting as well as note accuracy and intonation. My mother is a piano teacher, so I grew up loving music, and in turn, falling in love with the idea of teaching! I care deeply about each student and want to ensure that they walk away from each lesson with new knowledge, whilst learning to love the violin and music in general!
