My passion for the violin is undeniable but changing lives with this beautiful instrument and bringing the best out of YOU is what I thrive for! I create a fun and exciting atmosphere along with my 16+ years of experience to turn anyone into a passionate violinist.

I have had major events happen in my life which inspired me to become a mental health advocate/musician, which music is therapeutic and have been devoted to being someone who’s caring, diverse, determined and understanding. I make learning an instrument very exciting, enjoyable for all ages, whether you’re just getting started or already have experience (Beginners/Intermediate). It’s an unforgettable journey that you could always rely on to be exciting and efficient!

In 2003 I started playing the violin and became concert master (first chair) in my orchestra from Aug. 2003 - May 2012. During that time period, I performed in an honors orchestra from 2005 - 2007. After graduating high school in May 2012, I continued ...

Jaclyn is truely amazing, such a patient and wonderful musician and teacher. My 11 yr.old grandson has gained so much from Jaclyn's teachings. Thank you Jaclyn for you amazing talent and patience with my grandson. 🎻♥️

Hands Down the best violin teacher in the Sacramento area! From the flexibility she has with time to the amazing way she teaches. I am a beginner who couldn’t even read music. I told her that was what I was most concerned about. I was able to learn not only to read music but also the background to the music I was learning. To me that was key to learning. Will definitely recommend to anyone that wants to learn the violin!!

I highly recommend Jaclyn. My son was struggling with his practices, she worked with him and gave him the confidence to succeed.

I am an adult beginner in my 30's and was a little nervous about starting my lessons. However, I have to say, great lesson! He really took the time to listen to what I wanted to work on and make recommendations. Then he was able to quickly spot areas for improvement and give corrections that were very relatable and easy to understand. I can't wait to keep working with Daniel.

I've been teaching violin for 11 years and my students have gone on to play with different ensembles. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to play simple songs by reading and by ear and as time goes on you'll be able to play more complex repertoire. I specialize in classical, style but I can teach you different kinds of styles, typically use the Suzuki repertoire but I use a variety of method and books. I am not only passionate about violin but a people lover! I enjoy working with young ones and helping adults achieve their musical goal on their bucket list. My 10 years of violin experience has made me into the person I am today, and I can not imagine life without music. I want to teach my students the beauty of the violin and that it is a fun hobby. I have studied the violin with Manuel Diaz, Sylvia Whers, Tzu-yi Chen, Ruslan Apostolov, Tian Xu, Gina Moody, Lazslo Stan, James Palmer, Jon Carmack, and Boris Abromov. Studying with several teachers has made me learn through different perspectives which I can share with my students. I have been concertmaster for most of the orchestras I have played in and made a state-wide orchestra audition.

About Mariana

I started playing the violin at the age of 9 and have taken private lessons ever since. I joined the Youth Orchestra of Greater Columbus when I was 12 and moved up to the symphony orchestra at 15 tears old. I was assistant concertmaster for Honor orchestra in the first violin section my junior year

I am a dedicated, fun, and loving teacher who has been teaching for over 13 years. I inspire my students to learn to love music and also to love the hard work and dedication that comes with playing music at a high level. I believe music teaches us incredible life skills and I try to share that with my students, and use music as a tool to help them learn to unlock the highest potential they hold within themselves. Through music, together we can explore how each student learns and approaches the world, and we can help them learn to harness their strengths and work on their weaknesses. Also - learning is fun! I work hard to bring as much joy and enthusiasm to my lessons as I possibly can - I believe that the connection between a student and mentor is very special and I respect and admire all that each new student brings to the table.

I initially started lessons with Jessica in CA. When I moved to the other side of the country four years ago, we decided to try ways to continue online. After some trial and error, I’m so glad we stuck with it. It’s worked out beautifully even before “Social Distance” was a thing!

Jessica is not only a very talented musician but a great teacher! Her instruction was clear and understandable and she seemed dedicated to her students. I was an adult student and had always wanted to learn to play the violin. I took lesson for three years until my schedule became too busy. I would definitely recommend her to potential students of all ages.
Nate
Jessica's mix of outstanding skill as a professional musician, her effective read of how different personality types approach music, and her distinct ability to transfer skill and understanding through a teaching mentorship - were THE factors that brought me back to the violin after a hiatus brought about by a poor match between me and a previous teacher. Whether music theory or technique, Jessica's teaching helped me through barrier after barrier. I am so fortunate to have found her.

We have seen more progress and interest than we ever could have imagined when we initially said yes to violin lessons. Kristen is patient, friendly, flexible and so so so talented. It is definitely a huge added bonus that we get to hear her play!"
