Having had experience in Australian Symphony Orchestras and ensembles, Peter has the passion and expertise to take you as far as you want to go

About Peter
I began piano lessons at four years of age, and was blessed to have an amazing piano teacher, who taught me for 14 years. She gave me a passion to teach others and impart to them a love for music. I have carried on that calling and taught hundreds of adults and children over the last 30 years. I am very thorough in my method and customize each lesson around the goals and dreams of each student. I incorporate theory, ear training and technical into all my lessons, regardless of the style of music they are learning. This gives my students an all-round musical education and appreciation for this wonderful gift they have in their hands.

I have experience in the professional music world as a pianist and french horn player, performing with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Australian Opera Chorus and Orchestra, Sydney Sinfonia, Sydney Philharmo
nic Orchestra and Choir, as well as productions of "Cats", "Phantom of the Opera", Sesame Street, and touring all over Australia, U.S.A. and Israel. I have also been a part of the worship teams at Hillsong Church and C3 Church Australia.

I studied at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, and also received my Licentiate Diploma from the Trinity College of London (L.T.C.L.) in French Horn (Teaching) and Licentiate Diploma from the Trinity College of London (L.T.C.L.) in Piano (Performance). So my experience not only comes from an inspiring teacher, but also from hundreds of performances on stages across the world working with the finest of musicians, singers, conductors and worship leaders.

I love music, and more so, love imparting it to others.

*** Lesson Details ***
Students come away from their lessons inspired and excited about their ability to accomplish their dreams. Whether it is to play 'Phantom of the Opera' or an Adele song, Debussy's Claire De Lune or Jingle Bells, I show them how to do it and help them get there. I am very thorough, taking no short cuts, but making it fun to learn an instrument. You will be amazed at what you are playing in three to six months!

*** Specialties ***

I am a professional violinist who also holds a valid VA teaching license. I focus on student-centered learning to make sure everyone gets the instruction they need. Whether you're looking to start on the right foot, get ahead in school, or take your playing to the next level, I'm here to help!

About Danielle
Hello! My name is Danielle and I'm a classical strings teacher (don't worry - I teach the fun stuff too!). I've been playing violin since age 5, viola since age 13, and 'cello since age 18. I have Bachelors Degrees in Violin Performance and Music Education from James Madison University, and I play both Violin and Viola in Symphonicity, the volunteer orchestra in Virginia Beach.

I've taught everything from private lessons to private school to public school and am a truly passionate teacher. I currently teach general music, choir and strings at an elementary school but I love to fill my nights/weekends with private students - that's where the real fun is!

I've taught ages 4-44 and all skill levels. I take particular pride in developing technique and fundamental skills while keeping lessons light hearted and fun! It is my ultimate goal
to spark a love and passion for music in each of my students.

I always encourage students to explore music on their own and bring me repertoire that they'd like to play (from their favorite movies, TV shows, video games, etc.). Those are a great and engaging supplement to the solo repertoire I choose!

Send me a message to get to know more about me and my teaching. I look forward to hearing from you!
Musically,
Danielle

Just like I strive for success in my own music, I love to see my violin students accomplish their goals! Whether these goals are big or small, it is my desire to help my students to be confident in their skills. To help, I incorporate ear training, sight reading, music theory, and good technique into my lessons. Students of all ages are welcome!

About Julianna
I am a professional violinist. Along with teaching, I enjoy playing for operas, recitals, and special occasions. Whether in an orchestra, a chamber ensemble, as an accompanist, or as a soloist, I have enjoyed performing and sharing my love for music with audiences.

I enjoy teaching students of all ages and levels. For beginners, I believe in the importance of building a strong foundation in music theory, ear training, and sight reading, not simply playing what is on the page. I work with my students so they have a deeper understanding of why the music was written the way it was, both technically and what the composer was emoting.

I have served as concertmaster for my alma mater's symphony for two seasons, participated in Florida All State orchestras, won sonata and concerto competitions, traveled two summers with a string quartet in the
New England area, and have several years of teaching experience. I hope to pass on my passion for music to each of my students, Whether they want to become a professional performer or pursue a hobby, I enjoy watching their growth as they learn and discover their passion for music.

I have been teaching privately for 10 years and have built a very successful studio that offers lessons tailored to each student’s needs! Students quickly start playing simple songs in the very first lesson and usually move on to more advanced songs very quickly! I use a wide variety of teaching tools including Suzuki Violin School and Evelyn Avsharian’s beginner song books. I then add in other similar resources as needed, based on the student’s progress and needs! My biggest goal is that my students learn to love music and to love making music! I hope you’ll consider me as your new teacher!

About Kaylah
Hello! My name is Kaylah and I have been teaching private lessons for 10 years! I graduated in 2011 from the University of Wyoming with a Music Education degree. My studio has grown in the last 10 years from having 3 students in my parents’ basement to now having 6 teachers and 110 students enrolled taking lessons on violin, viola, cello, bass, recorder, ukulele, guitar, piano, flute, and saxophone each week! Our students range in age from 3 years old to 75 years old! We definitely believe that music is for EVERYONE!

I also perform regularly with the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra and the Powder River Symphony Orchestra. I also participate in a program called Music on the Move to bring live music to assisted living homes and hospitals in Wyoming! My students and I also perform for our community many times each year whenever we are calle
d.

My latest venture has been to start the Eastern Wyoming Youth Orchestra in rural, southeastern Wyoming! We started off our first season with 20 students and a full string instrumentation in the Orchestra!

I LOVE teaching the violin, and even more, I LOVE teaching kids to LOVE music! I hope that you will consider me as your new teacher!!

I believe that it is never too late to learn to play the violin, no matter your age! I teach classical violin through Suzuki method and also modern violin with a focus on rock, jazz and improvisation.

About Hannah
I first started playing the violin when I was 16 years old. In spite of people telling me that I was “too old” to learn to play the violin, I continued practicing and one year later I joined my first orchestra. In 2016 I graduated with a BA in Music from the University of Massachusetts Boston and I’m the violinist of a fusion rock band called The Sunset Kings (you can find us on Facebook as “The Sunset Kings Music”.)
Also, I currently play the violin in different orchestra pits in the Boston area and work as a freelance media producer!
