My teaching approach is relatively simple; I work to empower you to approach and play your own instrument through rhythm, moderate music theory, as well as fretboard theory and picking/plucking styles. I also like to do practical application studies, i.e., using songs you're interested in learning to apply new techniques.

Most importantly, we progress at your pace and yours alone. If there's something very specific you'd like to accomplish, we can most certainly do that, or if you want to improve upon your general approach and method, that is also something I am available for.

About Tyler

Hi, I'm Tyler! Born and raised in Roswell, New Mexico, I am the son of a band director. That being said, I have literally been involved in music since I was an infant! I played trombone, bass trombone, and bass guitar all the way through high school, and went to New Mexico State University where I

Tyler arrived early, spent lots of time with my unruly daughter, and kept her on track! He's a good combination of fun/playful but also has a natural authority so that my daughter actually listens to his instruction. Well done and thank you Tyler!

Great first lesson - looking forward to the next one.

I feel like I learned a lot in an hour and he really helped me find an anchor point that I can go back to if I am stuck on a note. I realized that he went over every proven method that I learned throughout my experiences from elementary school to highschool and then added on to them by explaining how these methods help. He even showed me methods usually taught to college musicians.

The reason I always believed in private lessons is because no matter how few or how many you take, the learning process gets expedited immensely.

I definitely would recommend this teacher for learning a brass instrument.

Ukulele is a newer instrument to me, but I have been teaching and performing for over 8 years now. I have played music since age 5 starting with violin and later guitar, which I studied at Berklee College of Music. Uke became a recent passion as I formed an acoustic duo of cello and ukulele (and singing) called DvOd that has performed all over the NW and released a CD. I provide a core curriculum of basic technique and music knowledge, combined with customizing to the student's interest. From Traditional Hawaiian to Eddie Vedder to Jake Shimabukuro, I can help you learn your favorites.

About Eric

Music lessons for all ages and levels on guitar, bass, violin, cello, ukulele, banjo and voice/singing. Private studio in downtown Redmond or online lessons. I have been teaching for over 15 years, performing and recording as a singer/songwriter/guitarist for over 30 years. Berklee College of Music

When you are looking for a good music instructor, these are the things you have to consider. 1. Price, 2. Location, 3. Teacher's experiences (resume), and 4. Characters of the instructor. The first three are easy to recognize from online information. The last one is hard to get, and yet , for us, the most important factor. Many instructors teach lessons only as a job (for money). They do things only during their "paid time." However, taking music lessons need more than that. A true music educator takes every opportunity to see the potentials of the student, knows how to coach individuals, and build up each student with encouragement and sometimes, discipline. He not only teach weekly lesson to help improved my son's skills, he also do extra to encourage students to go to concert, summer camp and perform at the nursing home. Every year, he arranged every details of a free concert with flyer, communications, equipment and even a professional cameraman! He did all those to encourage students to get out there to perform. We are forever grateful for his help for our son's college and scholarship applications. Mr. Rank is a "student oriented" teacher with a servant heart. If anybody is looking for an "all inclusive teacher, Mr. Rank is the best percussion teacher in DFW area. I can never thank enough for what he has done for my son. I hope my son will one day grow and become a teacher like Mr. Rank who care so much for his students.
Wendy
Kevin is an outstanding music teacher! He taught our child marimba lessons throughout middle school and high school. The benefits of his teachings were amazing. We highly recommend Kevin!
Bonnie
Kevin Rank is an outstanding teacher.! My son is just beginning his 5th year of lessons with Kevin Rank. In the last 5 years, my son has grown from a shy, unsure, extremely quite young man into a confident, 3 time all region percussion player. My boy has grown not only in his musical ability, but in his overall development. I am a strong believer that music is quintessential for all individuals. I am happy to have Kevin Rank helping my son to achieve his full potential as a percussionist and as a leader. He has made impressive advancements in his marimba playing, and Mr. Rank is instrumental in helping him achieve these goals.

I started teaching while in college - being able to share my passion for music is great! I graduated from Slippery Rock University in 2017 with my BA in Music Therapy. I am currently a board certified music therapist working in a local nursing home. My music therapy background allows me to approach lessons with a creative hands-on approach. I like to get beginners playing as soon as I can! I also include ear training and theory to round out lessons.

‚Äč I am a good teacher because I get it ... I remember what it was like to be learning piano. It's like it's own language! I am kind and patient and I want to develop a lifelong desire for music.
Also, I promise I will not poke your fingers with a pencil if you mess up fingerings.

About Amanda

I remember my very first piano lessons - taught by my mom because she wasn't convinced that piano was something I would stick with. I was so excited! Music was fun! Well not always fun ... the songs got harder and my fingers had to learn how to move in unnatural ways. Sometimes I would get frustrat

Love to teach beginners and intermediate students.
I teach all uke students how to read, theory, songs and how to understand playing the instrument solo or in a group setting.
Uke is capable of doing anything, all one has to do is apply oneself and music can come flowing out of the instrument.
