I have been teaching for 4 years and I use the Suzuki Method and other methods that I think would be beneficial for my students. No matter if you just want to learn for fun or you want to study music in college, we can talk about your goals for learning the violin.

About Pearl

Have you always wanted to learn the piano or violin? It’s never too late! I have been playing the piano and violin for 14 years and have been teaching for 2 years. I have a variety of experiences over the years, ranging from instructors who graduated from the Juilliard School of Music, Colburn Conservatory in Los Angeles and the Music Conservatory of Paris. I have also performed in piano competitions and have played solo piano with an orchestra. In addition, I was a member of the CSUN youth symphony and my college symphony.
I can teach beginner to advanced students classical, broadway, pop and basic jazz on both the piano and violin.
I also incorporate music theory, which I believe is an essential part of learning and appreciating music.

I tailor my lessons uniquely to each of my students because my students should love the learning

process.

I have been playing violin since kindergarten, and I have experiences in teaching beginner students at SUNY Albany campus and I absolutely loved it! Music Performance was one of my majors of my undergraduate degrees, and I was fortunate enough to have an opportunity to perform a solo piece, Mendelssohn Violin Concerto in my senior year. I am currently enrolled in a Master's program for Intercultural Communication & English language education. Teaching has been one of my long-lasting passions and I am more than happy to work with various levels of violin learners. Hope to hear from you soon!!

Margaret is a wonderful instructor who provides excellent teaching. I really appreciated that she made a point of not only explaining how to hold the bow, the violin, etc, but also explaining why it's important to use certain positions and posture and how it all comes together as one continues to practice. She's also super friendly and how's a very positive and welcoming demeanor.

I believe that students should be given an opportunity to be shown how to practice. This is so that when the instructor is not there to guide, the student is able to know step-by-step of what they are supposed to do. Practice sessions should include scales, etudes, and solo repertoire. I will include individualized videos for weekly emails for each lesson with how to break down and practice the scale, section, or piece.

About Vivian

Vivian is violinist who has experienced teaching all ages. She is currently pursuing an Undergraduate Degree in Music Education(Instrumental) at Rowan University with the mindset of having a performance and education masters. Private Violin Teacher

I have 15 years of teaching experience, a bachelor's degree in music education, and I am working on my master's degree in music education right now. I am a full-time music teacher, and I received the "Teacher of the Year" award in my school last year and was therefore nominated for Colorado Teacher of the Year. Teaching music (and especially violin!) is my absolute passion in life, and I truly love teaching students of all ages the joys of music. I have taught students from all over the world (I lived and taught overseas in Africa on a hospital ship for 3 years), and I tailor my teaching to match students of all learning abilities and styles.

About Katie

I grew up in Colorado Springs actively involved in every musical activity possible! Band, choir, youth symphony, private lessons on 3 instruments. . . I couldn't get enough! It was easy for me to decide on a career path, since I was extremely passionate about music and about children. I attended the University of Northwestern--St. Paul in Minnesota, where I earned my Bachelor of Music Education. I am now working on my Master's of Music Education from Kent State University.

For three years, I taught K-4 general music and 4th/5th grade orchestra in Worthington, MN. I then moved across the globe to teach on the hospital ship the Africa Mercy with the organization Mercy Ships. On board the ship, I taught full-time Kindergarten as well as K-5 music classes. While I lived and taught on the ship, it traveled between the Canary Islands, the Repu

blic of Congo, South Africa, and Madagascar. I absolutely loved being a part of this amazing organization and teaching the incredible students from all over the world.

After 3 years abroad, I moved back to Colorado Springs and I am thrilled to be finishing my third year teaching full-time elementary classroom music. I am very excited to be back in the beautiful place where I grew up, and to spend time with my wonderful family who live in Colorado Springs and Denver.

When I teach, I strive to create a warm, caring, and exciting environment that students look forward to attending. I truly enjoy igniting a love and appreciation for music in my students, and transferring my musical passion to them as much as possible! I hope to see every student's eyes light up with joy as they dive into the wonderful world of music with me.
