I started playing violin with the Suzuki method at age 5. I have been teaching violin to ages 4 to adult for over 8 years. While not a concert or symphony level player, I have been providing quality lessons and guidance to beginners and intermediate players of all ages and interest for years. As with all of my lessons, I provide a core curriculum as well as custom tailor to the student's needs and interest. From Bach and other Suzuki classics, to modern favorites like Pirates of the Caribbean or Lindsey Stirling.

Ahhhh....the seeet sound of the violin! I began teaching violin as part of a PTSA after school enrichment program. I taught for two years to high cap children from 2nd grade up to the 5th grade.

Our studies included theory, intonation, bow technique and rhythm.

I then began teaching privately to students and have enjoyed that for the last four years. I customize the lessons according to the student’s own apptitude.

I encourage participation in recitals to help build cinfidence and encourage personal growth. I do respect a students decline and we find other ways for self-confidence.

The best part of teaching is watching a student grow in their capabilities.

About Tudi

Tudi Campbell is a classically trained cellist and violinist, and customizes lessons to meet the needs of each student. She teaches beginning to intermediate on both cello and violin for all ages. Tudi believes in providing a strong background of music theory, intonation, and aiding the student

Welcome to my violin and viola studio! I believe that every student can enjoy the process of studying an instrument, and can learn to play with ease and joy. As a result, I work to determine each student's learning style, look for ways to encourage individual ownership of learning, and adapt my approach to help meet each student’s needs and goals. I teach both Suzuki and traditional lessons, and draw from a variety of musical styles and approaches to help students develop a broad range of skills that include a strong technical foundation, ear training, sight-reading, ensemble playing, and musical self-expression. Through this approach, I hope to help students develop a lifelong love for music that will serve them in all future endeavors, musical or otherwise.

My daughter, Katie, started her first violin lessons this year with Lisa. I wasn't sure if she was going to enjoy playing the violin as she is only 6 yrs old and pretty lively (hard to keep her still!), but Katie loved Lisa from the start. Lisa is friendly, patient, and easy going with Katie. Within a couple of months, Katie was already practicing her second song and sight reading her music. Lisa is a great violin teacher!

Lisa is so patient with my active 5 yr old. She keeps my daughter interested in coming back!

very patient teacher!

Lisa is very patient! My son is a typical 8 yr old boy with lots of energy and she is very good at keeping him focused. She is also very good at working on 1 thing at a time and not overwhelming students with no music experience. I would recommend her to anyone interested in learning violin.

"Jill accompanies our choir frequently, and you can hear the congregation respond as she comes in because the sensitivity she shows through her playing makes any piece of music richer and more meaningful. She's also good listener, creative in responding clearly to questions, and always fun to be with. She would surely be my first choice as a teacher."
