Hello and welcome to my studio! I am a multi-instrumentalist, composer and arranger known for my multi-genre diversity in both classical and jazz styles. I have over 7 years of teaching all ages and levels of students in piano, violin, voice, clarinet, saxophone, and music theory.

I work in NYC as an actor/musician, and am currently The Fiddler in the Drama-Desk winning revival of The Fiddler on the Roof Off-Broadway! As a classically trained musician, I have found myself playing a wide range of genres in my professional life, from musical theater to bluegrass. Our lessons will include scale work, ear-training, and a range of repertoire catered to your wants and needs!

I've taught ages 3 to 35, beginner to undergraduate collegiate level. I can develop your left hand, bow technique, and musicality to the point that you will sound better when you leave a lesson than when you arrive every single time. I will inspire a love for the instrument that will carry through the week with you.

As a music instructor, I am eager to cater to the needs of each individual child and to provide them with engaging musical experiences in supportive environments. I have previously provided violin, viola, and piano lessons to students of all ages both through Thompson Tutoring in Portage, Michigan and Reverb Lessons in Chicago, Illinois. I have approximately six years of private teaching experience.

I recently graduated from Roosevelt University's Chicago College of Performing Arts with a Master of Music Degree in Viola Performance. In 2016, I graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Music Degree in Viola Performance and Spanish. My performance experience includes both local and international venues. I have performed locally throughout the Southwest Michigan area, in orchestras such as the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra, Whiting Park Symphony Orchestra, Holland Symphony Orchestra, and Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra. Welcome to my violin and viola studio! I believe that every student can enjoy the process of studying an instrument, and can learn to play with ease and joy. As a result, I work to determine each student's learning style, look for ways to encourage individual ownership of learning, and adapt my approach to help meet each student’s needs and goals. I teach both Suzuki and traditional lessons, and draw from a variety of musical styles and approaches to help students develop a broad range of skills that include a strong technical foundation, ear training, sight-reading, ensemble playing, and musical self-expression. Through this approach, I hope to help students develop a lifelong love for music that will serve them in all future endeavors, musical or otherwise.
