"Kelly really knows her theory, inside and out. And she can explain how it all works. It's much easier to memorize a piece once you understand the theory behind it: the progression of the chords, and their functions. I wish my former teachers had known theory instead of making me memorize all those notes with no explanation."

Tim is an excellent, patient and caring instructor. I am a brand new guitar owner from a rural area in North Dakota. I was looking for a guitar teacher but all required a 30-60 minute drive. I found Tim through the Betterfly website and have taken several lessons through Skype. It has been a great experience that I would recommend to anyone from beginner on up"

"Honestly I couldn't have picked a better teacher. Above all else, Christian really takes the time to help you understand what he's teaching and how to apply it to your own playing. I've been playing guitar for 10 years now and before I started taking lessons from him, I never knew how much I didn't know. Every lesson is fun and engaging and definitely well worth the rate. "I play in a rock band that wanted to add some Sinatra type jazz songs to our repertoire. I was tasked to play bass with which I had very little experience. I decided to take some lessons with Gary to learn a little jazz theory and technique. He was a wonderful teacher. He focused in on exactly what I needed quickly and pointed me toward resources that I could use to improve. Despite my limited abilities, Gary was always patient and displayed good humor. When I needed him to write a bass line for me quickly so that I could take it on vacation, he made the time to make sure that I had what I needed. I enjoyed our lessons and recommend him highly. Gary is a teacher who truly cares about his students."
