Great instructor - couldn't 't be happier. Makes learning guitar fun - time flies by when you're with him, but you learn a lot and get some great practice tips. Looking forward to some additional lessons. If he can help a 50 year old who never picked up an instrument before, he can help you.

Do you already have a few years of study under your belt? Lessons that center on Music Performance look into the connection between performer and audience. In lessons we work on getting the message conveyed from the stage to the listener, and discover new ways to enhance the experience for our audience.

About Chelsea
Let's make some music!!!

“Music can change the world because it can change people.”
―Bono

“Where words fail, music speaks.” ―Hans Christian Andersen

Here's the why and how:
As an educator, I've had experience teaching both young children and adults in many settings, whether it be in a classroom, small group lesson, or one-on-one. I pride myself on providing lessons that are uniquely individual and foster a students strengths while also building on their weaknesses. The best part about being a music educator is that I get to share my love of music with all of my students. With that said, whether you are a beginner who's interest has been sparked, or you have aspirations of becoming a professional musician I can help you there!

Lessons are catered to each student and are conducted in a supportive environment where students ar
e encouraged to take risks, try new things, make mistakes, and most importantly be themselves.

I value the time I have with my students and expect each student to come prepared to each lesson with an open mind and willingness to work. With music, the best results come to those who put in 100% both during lessons and during individual practice time. This is key in any musical pursuit. Overall, I want lessons to be enjoyable while still maintaining a sense of progress for the student.

Here's a little more about me:
In 2005 I made my operatic debut in Italy with Operafestival di Roma in their main stage production of Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro. While in Rome, I was also featured in Pergolesi's Stabat Mater. Over the years I've been featured as a soloist in other concert and oratorio works such as Villa-Lobos's Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5, Rutter's Requiem, and Mozart's Requiem.

Along with my classical training, I've taken on several roles in musicals such as, The King and I, Guys and Dolls, Oklahoma, and The Boyfriend. I am an honored NATS (National Association for the Teachers of Singing) competitor, Peabody Scholarship recipient, and Bland Music Scholarship recipient. Recently, I had the opportunity to work with the Richmond Philharmonic Orchestra on their spring and summer concert series and was asked to perform the National Anthem and God Bless America at Game 2 of the ALDS during one of the MLB's 2014 postseason games (Baltimore Orioles vs. Detroit Tigers). When I'm not singing, you may find me enjoying a run through the neighborhood, or enjoying some time with my cat CJ.

I earned both my undergraduate and graduate degrees form the Peabody Conservatory of Music of the Johns Hopkins University.

I have had the pleasure of working with Chelsea for the last six years at a summer music camp that is sponsored by my church in Peachtree City Georgia. Chelsea is one of our Artists-in-Residence and leads vocal workshops, coaches vocalists, performs with the praise team, and also performs solo material in her presentations. This past year she served as worship leader where she directed over 100 children (ages 5-11), teen and adult volunteers in vocal worship. Her enthusiasm for music is infectious and she brings a fresh approach to the music that is presented at each encounter. She is able to establish a rapport with students of all ages making them comfortable and engaged in the music.
During our week-long camp, Chelsea and other professional musicians present a beautiful concert for the public where classical works are performed. Chelsea treats the audience to sacred and spiritual works and has developed a devoted following of patrons who return annually to hear her perform.

Whatever your instrument and style of choice, music is meant to be shared! Even if you're playing just for yourself, I want you to learn to put on the best performance for the YOU-audience that you can!

Together we'll help to build skills to hone your musical skills as well as the best way to present the music for whoever you would like to hear it.

About Kirk
I have been studying music for most of my life and began teaching when I was 16. I have been given the opportunity to learn from some of the best musicians and teachers around. Before relocating to Denver, I regularly gave performances throughout the Cincinnati area, as well as in surrounding states. I earned a bachelors of music in guitar performance at The College-Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati. While studying there I was able to meet musicians with different approaches to music and broaden my perspective on the way that I played and taught. Since moving to Denver, I have begun graduate studies at the Lamont School of Music.

I have taught students of all ages and skill levels and have been able to watch my students meet goals of all sorts in their lessons. One of the studios that I teach at was also recognized in the category of
"Best Music Instruction" by Cincy Magazine.

If you have never picked up an instrument before, I would love to introduce you to the basics of music as well as the guitar. If you have played some guitar, or another instrument, and are looking to hone your skills and maximize your potential, it would be my pleasure to help you along that track.

If you take lessons with me, you can expect progression! This takes top priority in my mind. It is very important for my students to know that I encourage keeping track of their progress on their chosen instruments. Setting goals and reaching them can be very satisfying! I recognize that every student has different skill levels and I will teach to the style that they best adapt to. One final note to add, they will be loved!

About Katie
At just 6 months old my mom discovered me humming “Silent Night”. By age 2, I would sit in the bathroom, holding aloft a Reader’s Digest from which I would “read” aloud, belting gibberish at the top of my lungs. Needless to say, my mother quickly enrolled me in the children’s performing group “Sunshine Generation”, since then its been 23 years of singing, dancing, acting, playing piano, playing guitar and playing the ukulele non-stop.

I love music and I love teaching! I have been studying the subject for decades now, two and half to be exact. First, in private lessons with wonderful teachers, then in Junior High, and High School. Then I entered the realms of college at Citrus, Riverside City College and received my Bachelors Degree in Commercial Music from Brigham Young University. I am a music composer. I write music, lyrics, and sco
re to Film/TV/promotional videos. I am currently on iTunes. I am loving and caring about the students I teach. I've had experience in teaching individual lessons to over 100+ students, singing with touring jazz orchestras, pop/rock groups and directing choirs.

Music is a lifestyle, and it is the lifestyle I love to live. If you want to learn your music skills, let me teach you! Im super fun and I will help you get to the next level! Thanks for reading this, I appreciate it. Don't you feel like you know me a little bit better?

I believe in having recitals 1-2 times per year for my students. Performances make students progress at a faster rate. Also giving them solos or songs to play and preform later on. I have played with rock bands many places, including Hollywood California venues like the whisky a go go. I've played many places with jazz band and marching bands. Troopers drum and bugle corps gave me the chance to nearly play in every major stadium in the united states. Some competitions were even in Canada.

About Danny
I've played drums over 28 years and taught lessons over 18 of those years. I have a background in Drumset soloing, marching band, rock bands and Troopers drum corps. Also playing in jazz, concert and orchestra bands gave me opportunity to perform and compete many places including P.A.S., scoring a 1 @ state and G.C. drum off. I took private lessons for a few years before leaving to college in Hollywood, CA, attending M.I.(Musicians Institute). With one of my instructors becoming the current drummer for Korn, "Ray Luzier". I now teach mostly out of my own books on how to read music, coordination, grooves, soloing and playing with bands. I have 1-2 recitals each year and prefer in-person lessons. If you are not local, I offer online lessons too. Accepting beginner to advanced drummers, come check it out.

Timon is a great guitar teacher. He balanced my request to do both a music structure learning (scales, chord construction) with actually playing tunes. The look that crossed my face when we started with Crazy Train must have been hilarious; he broke down what I thought was an impossible guitar tune and integrated scales into the lesson. Beyond technical knowledge and teaching ability he's just a good guy to spend time with and knows how to make lessons a lot of fun. 10/5 stars.

Christopher Oill provides innovative piano lessons, where students discover their unique musical goals and quickly develop applicable musical skills. Christopher has brought many dreams to life for classical competition pianists, pop musicians, composers, DJs, and more. With up-to-date technology, a beautiful 5'2 Weber piano, and a highly credentialed teacher, the Oill Music Studio is equipped to engage, motivate, and guarantee progress for students of all interests, ages, and skill levels.

About Christopher
In all my work, I achieve high-quality results by striving for perfection, but remaining light-hearted and flexible. My flexibility allows each unique student to find their niche, and my light-heartedness makes learning fun! I give students many opportunities to share their unique progress; recently, some of my students performed in my Master’s degree lecture-recital, which included all original compositions.

Fun and flexibility are important, but so are credentials. I received a master’s degree in piano performance pedagogy at Arizona State University (ASU), and a bachelor’s degree in piano performance and music education from the Crane School of Music at State University of New York Potsdam. Apart from degrees, in the past ten years alone, I have taught private lessons, piano masterclasses, ASU group piano classes, ASU Prep Program s
tudents, K-12 music ensembles, a collegiate jazz choir, college vocal students, and more. Currently, I work for the internationally renowned Faber Piano Adventures, arranging pop hits for the PreTime to BigTime Hits books.

As a member of Arizona State Music Teachers Association (ASMTA) and Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), I can offer students performance and competition opportunities, and I can participate in professional development activities. At organization conferences, I present frequently on music technology and innovative teaching. Recently, at the 2018 Collegiate Piano Pedagogy Symposium, I placed in a “best idea” competition, and the organization invited me to repeat another presentation at the 2018 MTNA National Conference. Currently, I serve as the ASMTA Honors Recital Chair, organizing a competition which occurs during the ASMTA state conference.

As a musician, I am forever learning to be a “jack of all trades.” In my performances, I perform difficult classical piano works, sing Billboard Top 100 pop songs, feature guest student performances, and perform original compositions. Separately, I have placed in classical competitions, produced a Pop Song album for iTunes, played and sang with a variety of bands, and composed piano pieces for students of all levels.

If you are looking for a unique, quality education, then look no further! I'm very excited to begin a musical journey with you.

My son, Jack who is now 11 has been taking piano lessons since he was 3, but was starting to plateau in his learning. About a year ago we switched instructors, and Chris has made a world of difference. Chris' lessons are challenging and fun. Even I can hear how much Jack has grown as a piano player since we made the switch. Chris is personable, professional and great with kids. I also love the fact that he holds recitals, which gives the kids a chance to showcase their hard work and talents. I highly recommend him for this age group.
