It's been awhile since I wrote a review and I was compelled to leave one today. I had a really bad allergy attack and could barely talk let along sing...I thought. Despite my current voice condition I stuck with my appointment. Much to my amazement Missy and her incredible knowledge as a voice instructor, navigated me through just the right warm ups. To my astonishment, I was able to sing and carry a note. Who knew? She is wonderful to work with! I so appreciate you, Missy. Your seemingly endless knowledge enables me to not only be encouraged but to carry on with my journey of singing. No matter what shape my voice might be in.

Missy is very encouraging. She helped me smooth out the final riffs on 2 songs I am performing. I delight in how she took a rust bucket and worked with me to make a finely tuned instrument. Thank you Missy!

As it gets closer to my performance I am getting a bit nervous as it is my first time. Missy is very encouraging and is a great coach in smoothing out the rough places. Doing better than I thought I was. Yay! Thank you Missy

Chris is awesome. So unbelievably talented. He is encouraging and patient and is the perfect teacher for this mom of 2 college boys. Borrowed my youngest son's first acoustic guitar and am slowly learning and loving it. Sore fingertips and all.

Chris was very prompt, polite, and enthusiastic!

Truly alot better than previous instructors trying to rush through time instructing you on sounds then the basic theory of music. Chris made it simple enough, even for a sixty year old adult to understand. Day one of my first class. Thank you.

I have been teaching guitar for about 15 years now and have taught students between the ages of 6-60 from very beginners to advanced players who want to deepen their understanding of the instrument.

I have an extensive experience playing/teaching a wide array of musical genres and have played numerous stages in the U.S and abroad.

I have a BFA with honors in jazz performance from the Rubin Academy for Music and Dance and have also attended the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music (NYC)

I always try to tailor the lesson to the students needs and musical preferences while keeping core skills that we will try to always incorporate (reading music/ theory for more advanced students, ear training etc.) I'm very passionate about teaching and believe it's imperative as a musician to be able to share the knowledge and experience I've acquired along my musical path.

About Nadav

Hi there, My name is Nadav and I have been a professional guitar player and teacher for most of my life now. I have a very extensive experience playing festivals and venues in the U.S and abroad and have been teaching beginner and advanced guitar/bass and musical ensemble classes for 15 years.

Speaking from the standpoint of a colleague of Nadav’s for many years and professional musician/educator myself, Nadav is the real deal. He is my top recommendation, without question, for anyone looking to study the guitar and/or music in general.

Nadav is an extremely gifted and skilled musician, composer, and bandleader with very deep understanding of playing the guitar. He has the experience and versatility to so in a multitude of different styles ranging from R&B, Pop, Funk, Jazz and Ethiopian groove music (check out his incredible band: Abbess Orchestra). He is also extremely kind, has a gentle yet “matter-of-fact” demeanor and is the consummate professional.

For anyone who has interest in learning the guitar and needs an instructor, no matter their experience level, it’s impossible to go wrong with Nadav. Just check him out and sign up!
Eran
I was a self taught guitar player since a very early age, so when I met Nadav for the first time I already knew many songs and chords. But my technique was a mess.
Nadav helped me establish a healthy and meticulous practice routine that fixed my technique very quickly.
I would recommend him as a teacher for every level.
Randy
Great teacher with good vibes! Nadav showed me great ways to practice harmony and soloing on the guitar. Highly recommended.

Lola is a professional at what she does. From the moment I walked into my first lesson, I could tell she was very knowledgeable about music. Beyond music, she is a very kind and welcoming woman who is patient and understanding. She talks with you and really cares about what you're saying. "Fantastic mentor!

Rob instructed my daughter in both acoustic guitar and voice for nearly four years. His creative technique and wealth of musical knowledge helped her to increase her abilities, raise her confidence, and foster her own love of all things musical. With Rob's influence, she is now able to play multiple instruments and has fully overcome her performance anxiety. Rob is an amazing musician in his own right and is fully willing to share his wisdom with his students. I would highly recommend him to anyone who truly loves music and wishes to discover and extend their own latent abilities."

Top 50 Intermediate Songs to Learn on Guitar

If you’ve been playing the guitar for a while, you’re probably ready to take on more intermediate material. The topic of intermediate electric and acoustic guitar songs and solos is a tricky one, because it means different things to different people. Some players learn certain techniques faster than others, and what is advanced to some is intermediate to others. In general terms, an intermediate guitar player will be comfortable playing open chords, barre chords, and basic scales. Guitar …
