Autumn is an excellent teacher! As I am over 50 it is more of a challenge to learn something new, but she is patient and her knowledge, experience, and ability with the violin is a great asset to her instruction. Her focus on teaching me correct technique is laying a good foundation for me to hopefully master this beautiful instrument.

I'm one of Sam's adult students, and have taken 3 lessons from him. He's incredibly skilled and a joy to learn from. Sam's an excellent teacher for a few reasons: he's the epitome of a patient teacher (learning a stringed instrument requires a LOT of patience), he's punctual, and he's focused yet flexible (he's got a good sense of what you need to learn, but is willing to customize his lesson for you). I've enjoyed learning from Sam and am looking forward to more lessons!

I have been teaching for over 15 years. I also performed solo recitals, chamber music concerts, and orchestras nationally and internationally for over 18 years. I have performed with Illinois Symphony Orchestra, Rockford Symphony, Civic Orchestra, Hong Kong Philharmonic, China National Symphony Orchestra and more. I approach each student as a unique and promising artist. I help them set individual goals, then plan and prepare lesson materials tailored for what he or she intends to achieve. I encourage them to work hard, dream big, and enjoy the rewards of learning and performing music.

Lipeng is a truly amazing violin teacher. Experienced, knowledgeable and patient. Knows precisely what to have student work on and communicates extremely well. Just a few weeks and my bowing and tone improve a lot! Will definitely recommend her.

My daughter has been taking Lipeng’s piano lessons for a couple of weeks. She feels that she learned useful techniques and it is now less frustrating when playing. I feel the difference is that every time when I ask my daughter to practice, she is readily to play. It is evident that she is growing interest in piano. She is starting to learn to appreciate the beauty of the music she is playing.

My daughter is preparing for her Concerto Competition later this year. She just had her first violin lesson with Lipend, and learned a lot. Lipend is a knowledgeable, patient and nice teacher. I am so happy and lucky to have Lipend to help my daughter to reach her goal.

Candis is a highly professional and passionate educator. Her ability to teach comprehension and foundational skills to young readers is incredibly strong due to her specialized training in some of the nation's most premier charter schools and her ability to teach music is even stronger. Her personal talent combined with her formal experience working as a classroom teacher make her an ideal music teacher for any student. She understands the technicality of her craft and presents it with passion and patience, helping even the most hesitant of students become successful.

Susanna is so patient and kind and most of all KNOWLEGEABLE. I know I am in extremely capable hands. My first lesson I left feeling excited, motivated and wanting more. (Even though I'm a beginner and I don't sound amazing, I know I will get there with the guidance of Susanna)
