Anna has a wonderful rapport with our son. This, I'm certain, has greatly improved the quality of the lesson and his willingness to practice. In the very short time (year and a half) that he's been taking violin, he is playing better than many of the longer studied kids in his string orchestra at school, due to the tutelage of Anna.

We have been very impressed with Anna and have also received feedback from our son's orchestra instructor that she must be fantastic based on the progress our son has made over the last school year. Thank you, Anna, for all of the encouragement and instruction you've given to our son.

I would highly recommend her for violin classes! My son Gavin ( 6 years old) has been taking classes with Connie and he has learned a lot. He is very happy with her and looks forward to each class. She is very patient with him, definitely a great teacher.

I have been taking violin lessons with Connie for almost 2 years now and i would highly recommend her! She has really helped me correct a lot of my bad habits from years of just playing on my own. Connie is professional, very patient and passionate about music and teaching. I take lessons with her privately (not with Take Lessons) and am thankful to have her as my teacher!

I can help you with everything from traditional classical repertoire to modern world, folk, jazz, and improvisation. I like to focus on music theory and reading skills, in addition to developing musicality from the first lesson. I also play electric violin and can help you to set up virtual or analogue rigs to get the best sound.

I was really impressed with my daughter's first lesson. She was taught the instrument, how to hold it and some simple songs to practice. Kathryn was patient and sent me my daughter's homework. There was a great lesson plan and it was obvious Kathryn knows what she was doing.

Gifted Teacher!!!

If you are searching for an outstanding violin teacher, I highly recommend Helena.  Her students benefit from her many years of teaching and performing experience as well as her extensive educational background.  When you learn musical pieces with Helena she teaches proper technique with just the right amount of music theory to produce well-rounded musicians.  Some of her best qualities are her great abundance of patience that she mixes with professionalism, kindness, a sense of humor, and a great deal of encouragement.  Helena is certainly a violin teacher you will be glad you found. I feel privileged to be her student! Thank you Helena for continually inspiring me to learn and keeping me challenged as well!

Typically, I use the Suzuki and Strictly Strings books for beginner students, and I will then advance to etude studies such as Wolfarht and Sevick in addition to the Suzuki sequels for my intermediate students. Lastly, I will add Introducing the Positions, Mazas, Josephine Trott Double Stops, and solo concertos to my advanced students.
