Brian was very patient with my son. He made sure he was aware of his instructions. He even guided him back to the correct path when he was unsure of the information. Great teacher!

Tremendously knowledgeable and able to teach complex things very simply. Everything he taught me was so much more profound and important to understanding music that I could have imagined. Highly recommend him as a mentor if one is at all interested in music.

My lessons will take you where you are and bring you a step further. I'll explain you in detail how to reach your goals faster. Sometimes you'll need to work on your own way to learn, on yourself. I'll be always there to help you! Why you should have lesson with me? Simply because I am among the best teachers in the world and I love the idea to reach more students through this medium. And you'll have fun for su
My daughter has been training with Antonella for years and she does wonderful with kids. She loves music and has a passion that will help her students learn music and have fun while doing it

Antonella is an AMAZING teacher. I am an older adult student, with no music theory or background. She is very patient, accommodating, and uses very useful analogies that help me visualize what to do in a way that helps me learn and remember. My own weakness is in making time to diligently practice. I look forward to each lesson, and give her my highest recommendation.

Our experience with Antonella has been wonderful. She has high standards but is also extremely patient with young students. My daughter has learned beautiful technique but more importantly, she has expanded her mind, improved her sense of discipline and commitment and learned to play piano with a feel for the music. Working with Antonella is fantastic for the student and their parent/guardian. It's a joint effort. I highly recommend Antonella
Do you have a hard time understanding music theory? Does reading sheet music confuse you? Do you feel inadequate when talking music to your musician friends? WIth me, I will help you understand note reading, chords, scales, key signatures, etc! I have come up with a number of processes for understanding music theory!
I have had a varied background growing up, from being an Eagle Scout, to holding a black belt in Judo. Growing up in Arizona and being the youngest of three boys from a very musical family, I found classical music and it became my passion. I began with piano at age 9, while also sang in many church musicals. In 2006 I graduated from Northern Arizona University with two degrees: a bachelors in vocal performance and a bachelors in piano/choral education. At NAU, I sang in many operas and piano recitals and spent three months in Germany teaching choir through the Department of Defense.Shortly after, I graduated with a masters in vocal performance from Washington University in St. Louis. The studies I learned from Wash U catapulted my love for teaching!Recently, I have been teaching out of St. John School of the Arts, where I worked with v
oice and piano students ages 7-60. All of my students had varying styles, but I was able to help them build a foundation of technique that would allow them to sing with a free and healthy tone in any style.I believe we all have the ability to create music and I can help you discover it!
*** Lesson Details *** My goal in voice lessons is first and foremost to establish a solid vocal technique. My philosophy is "singing is simple, but not easy!" We will focus mostly on two things: breath and space for singing. This method of teaching is known as "bel canto". It helps build a strong foundation that then allows you to sing almost any style! Because everyone is different, we will tailor a set of exercises to fit your needs and will help you build that strong foundation! Once these principles begin to settle in, we will work on music. I have a huge library of songs to chose from, but I highly encourage you to bring in your favorite songs. Remember, everyone is different and progresses at different rates, but don't be discouraged! This is not a race, but a life skill that you will continue to master!
In piano, I am classically trained. Through a series of music books, we will work on music theory, finger dexterity, music history, ear training, eye/hand coordination, and pure enjoyment of making music. Again, everyone is different, but with some outside commitment, you will improve! Classical piano training is a great foundation for all other styles, such as jazz, pop, singer songwriter, country, etc. Piano also helps with in other aspects of your life such as memory, math, history, reading, etc.
*** Studio Equipment *** I have a full size keyboard and music stand.
*** Travel Equipment *** Please provide a piano, music books, music stand (if needed), and a lesson book for notes.
*** Specialties *** I am a classically trained baritone specializing in bel canto. I have found this technique to be a great foundation for all styles of singing, from opera to pop. I am also classically trained at the piano. I focus on natural hand positions, note identification, music theory, and ear training. And I have fun doing it!
Tom is a very patient teacher who is supportive yet instructive in his feedback. As a novice I have very much appreciated his ability to see what I need as we move through the lessons. As an educator with over 35 years of experience, I appreciate his ability to connect with me, the student. My lessons have improved my ability and my confidence. Thanks, Tom! See you for another set of lessons

I was nervous before I arrived and excited when I left. She was nice and very patient. Her professionalism is a confidence boost at least for me it was. She’s excellent, so if you’re trying to decide on a instructor, look no further.

I am a musician with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance. I studied with Philip Thomson, Laura Silverman, Douglas Hicks, and the late Eugene Mancini. I have experience teaching young children, older adults, and those in between. I am patient and encouraging.

Piano studies overview:
You can play what you can hear. My students have a well-rounded approach towards musicianship and playing. Lessons should include theory, ear training, etc. to ensure that students understand what they are playing. I progress students carefully.
Beginning students might start with a method such as the well-known 'Piano Adventures' by Faber and Faber. More advanced students will work on progressively more demanding literature.
In a piano lesson, we will cover many different aspects of p
laying. The student and I will analyze a new piece of music in various ways while coming up with an idea of how it sounds. I will play the piece and make practice suggestions. The student will play prepared pieces, and I will make suggestions. I value spontaneity.
I have taught music theory for 4 years to over 50 students. I can teach you music theory fundamentals (key signatures, scales, major/minor chords, chord analysis), as well as some of the most advanced topics in undergraduate and graduate musical studies (form, part-writing, counterpoint, advanced harmonic analysis, Schenkerian analysis).
My biggest priority in teaching is to help you reach your specific goals and address your needs. Every student has their own objectives and learns at their own pace, and my job is to ensure that you get exactly what you want out of the lessons. Your goals are my foremost interest, and I can help you achieve them!
I am available for both in-person and online teaching. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask!
I teach piano, composition, music theory, and ear training to students at every level of musical experience (including those who cannot read music). To date I have taught over 100 music students in private, online and classroom settings.

I have been attending online classes of arranging with Daniel for several months now and all I can say is that he has helped me greatly in progressing towards achieving my musical goals. Not only is he very clever and knowledgeable, but he can also adjust his teaching pace with the student's needs. The material he provided was excellent both from a quality point of view and from an organizational aspect. Overall, Daniel has been a great teacher for me and I am very happy I have found him. Thank you very much Daniel!

Daniel is very knowledgeable and my young one has learned a lot from him. Thanks Daniel!
I have studied music theory extensively throughout my undergraduate and graduate coursework. I teach basic music theory to all of my music students. Having a working knowledge of the theory of music will benefit any musician.

She’s helping me prepare for an audition and giving me valuable tips to sound as good as possible in a short time.

Practicing with Vandi improves my skills more quickly than practicing alone and she is very good at not only answering questions via the internet tutoring but through phone as well. She is very prompt and consistent and provides easy to read materials for my skill level. I'm very happy with my purchase through Take Lessons so far. This is my first time using this website and it is my third lesson as I am new to piano. I have already recommended this site to other people.
This is my primary specialty. I will show you all seven categories of chord progression and a color coded method of understanding the emotional qualities of all 3, 4, and 5 note chords. Also, I will show you what scales improvise over what chords and why.
I can take any student to the pro level within a year with my unique color-coded methods. I was educated at Interlochen Arts Academy, near Traverse City, Michigan. I taught the bass player for LeVert how to play keyboards with LeVert. His name was Mike Ferguson. If you want to be a star and you are willing to work, I can get you there too. On the other hand whatever age you are, if this is just a hobby for you I can definitely help you to enjoy it.
If you love jazz improvisation, I can show you how to navigate the Real Book & if you want to play with a band I will show you how.
I now have an internet compatible color scanner and printer. Its a bit like having an electronic blackboard for the lessons. Ask me about what that can mean for us!
I will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
"Highly recommended! I took online and Skype lessons for about one year with Daniel. He is an excellent and very patient teacher. I am a pianist with no
previous training in theory and ear training, but through his tutoring I was able to learn the basics of these subjects."
"This tutoring session was probably the best I have ever had. I am taking a Music 101 course in which I am finding myself having trouble with. I took up tu
toring with Stephen and he really broke down the steps. Sometimes, I do not understand things the first time when they are explained to me; and reading music happens to be one of them. However, I am very lucky to have Stephen as my tutor who is very patient in explaining the lesson to me. If you want a tutor who is patient and willing to invest time in helping you understand music, I highly recommend that you take Stephen."
"Steph is very knowledgeable about singing and music. She has a wonderful personality that is very encouraging to her students. I strongly suggest that you
take lessons with her!!!!"
"Sheralee taught my daughter recorder. My husband decided to join her. Her lessons were reasonably priced, and they both made great progress under her prof
essional and encouraging guidance."
"I studied music theory with Brad my senior year of high school, and it was the best decision I could have made! Brad fully prepared me for college-level t
heory at a conservatory, and I have excelled as a performer because of the great theory background Brad provided me with. He knows music theory inside and out, and he is able to adapt his teaching skills for any student. Thanks for all your help, Brad!

"I took a Worship Ministries course with Jerry which covered music theory, playing and leading Contemporary Christian Music, and some basic techniques on k
eyboard, guitar, bass guitar and drums. Jerry is an encourager--he brings out the best in his students and helps them to reach their full potential as a musician. He is knowledgeable, accomplished and patient--an ideal teacher."
"I felt very comfortable practicing with Michael and he focused on exactly what I needed to learn."
"Albino is an amazing teacher and musician. He has the ability to inspire you musically and make you feel very comfortable while doing it. He has taught me
many new approaches, tips, and tricks to music theory. He has helped me to be able to really understand why things are the way they are, and not just figure things out on paper like an equation. Definitely the best tutor I've ever had! I'd highly recommend him."
