I teach all levels of piano. ear training, music theory, music performance. I teach old fashioned classical music, as well as playing by chords (usually preferred by adult beginners) but also will incorporate
playing by chords with classical training, because it enhances knowledge of music theory. I've developed my own task analysis for learning chord piano, which means I break it down into steps. I focus on keeping the student's enthusiasm and focus on assessing and providing a positive and successful outcome from the first lesson.

Experienced violin, viola and piano teacher of 30+ years available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation of reading, theory and performance skills. I specialize in classical music. I use a variety of methods and literature all dependent on personal need and style of each student.

I offer my students 3 recitals a year in some very nice halls around New York, where they would get a chance to perform their music in front of an audience of friends and family.

Performing is a great way to see as a student what you do well and what you can improve in. Each performance gains a level of experience that can not be gain by just playing for yourself. Through this experience you will learn what it takes to get better as a musician.

These lessons are specialized for helping my students prepare their vocals, stage presence, and performance for tryouts, auditions, and competitions in addition to honing their performative craft. You should expect to learn all vocal techniques just the same as any student. We cannot just stop at the sound, the full performance has to be explored so we go over musical tools to enhance performance vocally as well as acting though the song, staging, guestures, and facials.
