My son is a BEGINNER beginner. Rodrigo is a very nice guy and seems to know his stuff very well. I would give him 5 stars but I don't think he realized that my son needed the basic, basic 1st lesson (i.e. how to hold the instrument). We've only attended one session so this is fully based on that one lesson. I'm sure he'll adjust his teaching from here on out.

Ed's vast knowledge, experience and easy demeanor is helping me finally gain a better knowledge of the fretboard and expand beyond "blues box 1" and connect the patterns. I think I see a light bulb.

Ed has a pleasant easy going personality. I've had a couple of teachers who were great players, but lousy teachers. I quit my last teacher because he was completely unprepared and what we did had nothing to do with what we did the previous lesson that I had spent so much time practicing. I got the feeling he thought he was so good he could just wing it. Wrong. I've only had one lesson with Ed, but he seems well prepared and he has his program structured so the student can learn in a progressive manor.

When playing any instrument a little theory goes a long way! When teaching theory I will present it in a way that is relevant to the guitar! Rather than intimidate and confuse my students!

Lessons include: Musical Alphabet, Enharmonics, how to read basic musical notation, All the notes on the fretboard, Major Scale, Minor Scale, Diatonic Movement, The Number System, Cycle Of 4ths, and Cycle Of 5ths.

If any of these sound scary or like foreign language it's okay, I will keep my classes at a nice slow to steady pace. And I will make it all relevant to the guitar!

I really enjoyed being in his class. He really helped me grow as a musician and when I didn’t understand something, he took his time to make sure I understand the material. He was amazing to have as a teacher and I’m really gonna miss his class.

Jonathan is a great guitar teacher, he's very knowledgeable and does a good job of helping you understand the guitar. A great aspect of Jonathan's guitar lessons is that he shows you how to apply technical information (chords, scales, arpeggios, triads, etc.) to actual music.

Book your next guitar lesson with Jonathan, you will be glad you did!

I teach music theory as integrated with the activity of playing music.
Learning "how and why" things work together is an essential undertaking to deepen your understanding of music you listen to and play, accelerating your ability to improvise, compose and write original music, and communicate effectively in the language of music. This type of lesson can be customized to fit your specific goals and is not instrument specific.

Ben Z. has been helping people achieve their goals in guitar and music since 2001, and is passionate about teaching students of all ages and skill levels. My name is Jerry. I LOVE music and passing my knowledge on to others. I have played many different instruments in many different kinds of bands. It all one major thing in common, it was FUN! If you are not having fun while learning an instrument you won't want to learn. Lessons can be fun AND educational at the same time. I have had many parents tell me I'm one of the best teachers they have ever seen. (A couple of them were public school teachers themselves). I truly want my students to succeed and I will do everything in my power to help them accomplish that!

Jerry is a wonderful instructor. I wasn’t sure how online lessons would go but they have been seamless and fun and my son is making progress with the bugle. I would highly recommend this format and this teacher. The convenience and quality of instruction are excellent. We are signing up for more lessons and may move on to another instrument once my son feels confident on the bugle.

"This was my boys first lesson and they loved it. They were so excited after class. Telling me that it felt way to short and that they are eager to have more lessons with Alyssa.
I’m also very pleased as she is a warm and welcoming person and I had an easy time communicating with her about what exactly I am looking for, our schedule, and also difficulties with entering our first lesson.

The boys will definitely, and with joy, continue their music journey with Alyssa."
