Have you or your kids always wanted to learn to play the violin? I am an experienced violin teacher specialized in beginner and intermediate violin students of ALL ages. I believe that it is never too late to learn to play the violin, no matter your age! I teach classical violin through Suzuki method and also modern violin with a focus on rock, jazz and improvisation.

I strongly believe that, if every child would be provided with an ideal environment, would gain extraordinary ability. There are no exceptions. No one can tell how able man is by the nature. What is known is the ability that is spoiled or developed. It cannot be denied that most children speak their native languages beautifully by learning about 3000-4000 words by age 5 or 6. Nothing can clearer demonstrate of the original power of the human mind. Through the years of studying and teaching music I realized that this is the most important concept for developing each kid's talent, to increase his or her ability to the maximum. Therefore I am combining the great methods of teaching violin. The Suzuki method and the Russian school method. Suzuki method helps at the earliest stage of playing an instrument and I am using later Russian school method for more advanced period of studying.

I believe in a friendly, comfortable atmosphere between teacher and student that promotes the optimal mindset for the student to progress, and to believe in themself.

Technique-wise, there will be lots of work on intonation, tone production, and accuracy of rhythms!

Musically, I like to ask the student for their own ideas, and offer my input afterwards. Music is an expressive art, and the teacher's job is to help the student best express themselves.

I tend to let students play everything that they have practiced for me before making comments. Using my tablet, I notate all ideas and corrections on a pdf version of your music, and email the pdf to you after the lesson.

Experienced Violin teacher of 8 years available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation of music knowledge. I specialize in classical and Celtic, typically use Suzuki Method and Essential Elements books. I evolve with each student and create a fun a positive environment in which to learn and I strive to help you meet your goals! I plan and offer yearly professional student shows and concerts to give each student a practical application to their studies.
