I've been teaching guitar for the past thirteen years, and I've worked with all kinds of students. From children, to teenagers, to adults, everyone who I've had the pleasure to sit down with has told me what they want to get out of the guitar, and I've made it my responsibility to help them reach their goal. Within the first few lessons, every student develops a new perspective, and approaches the guitar with the clarity and confidence to grow as a musician at a pace comfortable for them.

Charles is highly approachable and extremely knowledgeable. He walks the perfect line between making his students feel comfortable whilst also pushing them to become better in every single session.
I got a solid grasp of the basics of music theory and was able to fully improvise in different scales at the end of the course. The growth I had was tremendous - all thanks to Charles' guidance.
Charles will take the time to fully understand the needs, goals and struggles of his students. He will be there for them inside and outside of class time because he genuinely cares about music and his students becoming better.

I tried to teach guitar in the same manner in which I teach every instrument. First I teach students the rudiments of the instrument. Also I teach them how to read and a bit of music theory. From that point I like to follow the students lead. They bring in songs that they would like to learn, or possibly how to play lead guitar, or how to finger pick. At every point I try to point out general aspects of music that need to be learned from the material that they choose.

I have a degree in music, and have taught at three summer camps three music stores and two universities.
I have been teaching guitar since 1990. I teach ages 9 and up, and I aim to tailor lessons to work with your natural strengths and learning style.
I offer note-reading but it is optional. We can study guitar using tablature and chord diagrams. The important thing is to make great music, enjoy the process, play songs you like, make steady progress and become independent.
If I teach you well, eventually you won't need me very much- you'll be able to figure things out on your own,
I started playing guitar when I was 4. I've played classical, rock, a bit of jazz, folk, a little bluegrass, and fingerstyle. I love the guitar and I love teaching!

Playing for my own enjoyment is now enjoyable once again.
My lessons were online and very effective - when I got stuck, Carla would send me a sample audio clip of her playing the difficult part which was a godsend for me in how I learn new musical things.
I highly recommend Carla and her Carlalology method of guitar teaching. You won't be disappointed.

Guitar is one of the most versatile instruments in the world. Capable of soft beautiful chords, blistering bluegrass lines, aggressive blues licks, gorgeous jazz arrangements and so much more, it truly is one of the most rewarding projects you can undertake. My passion for guitar runs deep, and I will bring that to every one of our lessons. Whatever your goals are on the instrument, I will work with you to make sure we reach them.

Evan is patient, understanding and most of all an excellent teacher. He rolls with you at your pace. I feel I have learned more from him with my banjo in a very short period of time than I have learned in a couple of years of guitar. He is fantastic!!
He is very good teacher. I would recommended him to anyone.
I have had two lessons with Evan so far, and I always schedule my next lesson at the end of each session, as I'm so excited to go back and learn more. Not only are the lessons very informative, and helpful, but he sends me home with video of what we had gone over in the day. This is extremely helpful! When I practice, I have something to revert back to, to help me remember exactly everything he taught me.

Great guy, great teacher. Took the time and focused on me during the entire lesson. Geared the lessons specifically for me and my interests and tastes in music. Took a personal interest in me as a person and encouraged me to practice and to explore all the different things I could do with my talent. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Very reasonably priced for all that you get out of the lessons."
Learning with a private teacher without even leaving my house is ideal for my busy schedule...."
Ahmad is extremely talented, intelligent, and friendly and is always there to support me in whatever new musical concept I wish to learn next. He can help anyone looking to better themselves in a wide variety of areas regardless of the style of music you are interested in. I have been studying jazz with him primarily, as my goal is to be able to write my own music and put together a band some day. I have no intention of stopping music lessons with Ahmad as they continue to be something I look forward to every week. Anyone would be lucky to have such a great teacher."
Eric, is a wonderful guy to work with. He is thorough and goes above an beyond the call of duty. I could tell that he really cared about what he was teaching me and WANTED me to be the best I could be. He is ultra genuine and down to earth. Everything I learned from him has been vital in the paid gigs I've received as a guitarist and also in my own passion projects."

I started taking guitar lessons with Richie having no previous experience with playing an instrument or reading music. Being left handed I was having difficulty making sense of the beginner guitar books and thought I'd give personal lessons a try.
Richie quickly taught me the basics of guitar and how to read music. Over the last 2-1/2 years he has helped me overcome my lack of rhythm, has taught me music theory, how to structure songs and techniques of soloing in various scales.
I've enjoyed getting out in my spare time and watching Richie perform in his acoustic and blues bands and have developed a new appreciation of music.
I now practice/play daily for enjoyment and only wish that my job wasn't taking me away from this area. Otherwise, I would be continuing my lessons with Richie for years to come."

Fretless instruments are not uncommon in the world of music, however, a fretless guitar is an instrument that isn't often mentioned. The fretless guitar lacks the frets that one would traditionally see on a guitar. This means that there is no interruption in the string from the bridge, up the neck of the guitar. The lack of frets create an entirely unique, warm, but less amplified sound that works across all types of music. In order to truly understand what a fretless guitar is, it is first …
