Antonella is an AMAZING teacher. I am an older adult student, with no music theory or background. She is very patient, accommodating, and uses very useful analogies that help me visualize what to do in a way that helps me learn and remember. My own weakness is in making time to diligently practice. I look forward to each lesson, and give her my highest recommendation.

Our experience with Antonella has been wonderful. She has high standards but is also extremely patient with young students. My daughter has learned beautiful technique but more importantly, she has expanded her mind, improved her sense of discipline and commitment and learned to play piano with a feel for the music. Working with Antonella is fantastic for the student and their parent/guardian. It's a joint effort. I highly recommend Antonella

Improve your musical knowledge whether you are completely new to reading music, or experienced and looking to hone your skills.

About Erin
I have a Master's in Vocal Performance from Portland State University, and over a decade of vocal training and performance experience.

I teach voice lessons to kids, teenagers, and adults, ranging in ability from beginner to experienced. I have helped the beginning students learn to match pitch and read notes on the staff. My voice students learn to sing with purer vowels, increased breath support, and to access greater vocal range.

I teach beginning piano to all ages. I teach students as young as 5 as long as they are able to stay focused for the duration of a half hour lesson. Most of my piano students are in the 7 -10 range, but I teach some beginning adults as well.

I travel to some students in N and NE Portland, but I vastly prefer to have students come to me. For students in Vancouver, WA, I do ask that they come to me.

*** Lesson Details ***
Voice students will learn to improve their technique through proper breathing, correct vowels, space, and resonance. I teach repertoire based on the students' interest, but I am well versed in classical and operatic repertoire in English, French, German, and Italian, as well as some musical theatre and jazz. I also teach pop songs for those who are interested. I can help you improve your technique for whatever style of music you want to sing. For adults, I recommend an hour voice lesson. For kids, I recommend a half hour voice lesson, and half hour of piano if they are not already taking it.

Piano students will learn to read music, play with correct form, learn scales, and improve their musicianship skills. I teach out of lesson books (mostly Faber) to improve technique, but I want students to learn supplemental pieces that are fun for them as well. For piano beginners, I recommend 30 minutes. Once the student is a little more experienced, I like to have them for 45 minutes.

I hope to share with you the same joy I get from making music!

*** Studio Equipment ***
My studio at home has a piano, my music library, a large mirror for aiding the student in observing their vocal habits.

*** Travel Equipment ***
For in home lessons, students will need to have a keyboard or a piano in a space free of distractions. Students should have a neat, three ring binder to hold any loose sheet music. Piano students need a regular notebook to write lesson assignments.

*** Specialties ***
I specialize in teaching classical art songs and musical theatre.

Music Theory is the Core of Understanding how ALL Music works anywhere in the world and applies to all Instruments. It's the insight into why we use certain Notes, Chords, & Scales and what makes them work. To have the knowledge is to be a Musician, which is to Understand that when writing a Song, or Improvising all thinks can work as long as you can make it work. It's the Musician who can figure out why it works so he or she will know where to go or what to play.

About James
PLEASE READ : Thank you.

I'm a trained Musician (Private Lessons) and have been Studying & Teaching for over 37 years. I've taught, Recorded & Played everywhere from small to Large venues from NJ, NY to CA and back. So you don"t just get the Lesson, You also get all that culture and experience along with it in every Lesson you take. All Lessons are done at UBG Music School, located in North Brunswick, NJ which I am the Owner and Head Teacher at the School. I do offer Lessons through Skype & Hangouts (Google) as well if for some reason it's more convenient for you. I Guarantee you"ll learn more studying with me in one year, then with anyone else around. I Pride myself in giving my student 100% my undivided attention in every Lesson. The School is equipped with a Class A Recording Studio (which I incorporate into the Lessons) so you not
only get a Great Lessons but you'll also get the experience of working and being recorded in a Professional Recording Studio. You will learn a lot in a very short period of time, but you will also have a lot fun doing it as well. For The person interested in learning Guitar I'll teach you to Understand that you'll Develop Correctly, and Much Faster By always practicing on the Acoustic Guitar, and then if you'd like to go and play or perform on the Electric Guitar, you'll be 100% Better as a Musician then if you just played only on the Electric Guitar. That is a Key element to what all the Professionals Musicians like myself do. I no longer accept every other week lessons, only weekly lessons.
I have a 24 hour Cancellation policy, if I'm not notified within 24 hours of your lesson I will accept payment.
Thank you and I Look forward Helping you reach your goals.

I have been attending online classes of arranging with Daniel for several months now and all I can say is that he has helped me greatly in progressing towards achieving my musical goals. Not only is he very clever and knowledgeable, but he can also adjust his teaching pace with the student's needs. I'm really enjoying my lessons with Yuexin. She's very patient and is able to answer all my questions. She's also happy to customize the lesson to suit my interests; for example, we took some time to go over voice lines in a video game that were in Chinese and then work on the pronunciation and pinyin for them.

The textbook and workbook she had me get have been helpful, and I've been supplementing by practicing on my own using Duolingo. I think the combination has been really effective for learning the language. Yuexin has been great for correcting my pronunciation and teaching me how native speakers would actually speak and write.

What do you offer for a beginner?

Assuming a student has never played a piano and is 10 years old or older, lessons will focus on fundamentals of technique and sight reading classically oriented material. I follow piano curriculum developed by John Thompson and Alfred.

For students under 10 years of age without any prior piano training, a preparatory book may be used.

After a minimum 6-12 months of continuous piano lessons (assuming a weekly schedule), music theory will be introduced, along with chord playing.

What do you offer for a non-beginner?

Assuming a student has had a minimum of one year of continuous piano training, depending on the lesson customization, lessons will be based around the Alfred and/or John Thompson curriculum, and music theory and chord playing will be introduced.

Should a student already know chord playing, I will fast forward the lesson to sight reading lead sheet/fake books and learning pop, rock or jazz piano playing styles (left and ...

I have been playing keys for over 20 years and graduated from Berklee College of Music with a major in Jazz Composition and Music Production & Engineering. I have taught students, teenagers, adult and small children as young as 5 years old. My teaching is focused on stylistic piano playing (chord playi

Digital piano and digital Hammond organ are available at my house for piano tutoring should you choose to come to my location.

My graduate study was in Acoustics. I am an acoustical consultant and also an audio engineer. I specialized in room acoustics and electro-acoustics (loudspeaker design). I have a studio at home and open to audio tutoring (recording and mixing) request as well.

I am originally from Indonesia and have already published two books. I can help with Indonesian language tutoring for English native speakers. I have done many seminars/workshops both in English and Indonesian.

I welcome tutoring requests in Music (Piano, Composition/Arranging), Music Theory, Music Production or other Audio/Acoustics related topics.

Mr. Hadi is a very patient and knowledgeable piano teacher. My son definitely enjoys learning piano and music theory with him. I can see that Mr. Hadi keeps a progress chart for each of his students,. My son is just a beginner level student, but he still gets personalized content from Mr. Hadi.

My goal is not to show off my son's piano skill at family gathering, but to encourage him appreciate and enjoy music. Thanks to Mr. Hadi for helping me reaching this goal.

I'm actually a violin teacher, and I also have other link for my violin studio teaching. I also have student who took lesson mainly to get theory boosted up, while also taking lesson. I'd love to have my student not only good on playing, but they also really understand musicality, and speaking about musicality, we all need to understand the structure of music. that being said, we need theory. I teach theory as an integration with my studio lesson. But i'm also down to teach pure music theory alone. I'm flexible with these. Just send me message - then we'll set up things onwards :) Cheers!
