I love playing and teaching violin and can't wait to share my passion with you!

I tailor my approach to each student. Some students require more technical work, some require interpretive. Both are fascinating and can be taught with structure and clarity.

About Martina

Hi! My name is Martina and I am a classically trained violist. For my background, I received a Master of Music from Roosevelt University, where I studied with Lawrence Neuman of the Chicago Symphony. I received an undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin with Sally Chisholm of the Pro Arte quartet.

The only thing I love more than playing viola is sharing the joy of music with others! I've received training on violin and viola and can't wait to start teaching you or your child.

*** Lesson Details ***
I tailor my approach to each student to make sure that:
1.) The student is getting exactly what he/she wants out of the lessons.
2.) The lessons are an appropriate difficulty for the student.
3.) A student's strengths and weaknesses are being addressed with a tailor-made lesson plan and long-term goals.

***

Travel Equipment ***
I can provide a stand. Student is responsible for purchasing an instrument, and any sheet music. I can definitely advise on an instrument to purchase and will instruct with specific music requests.

I have been teaching for 4 years and I use the Suzuki Method and other methods that I think would be beneficial for my students. No matter if you just want to learn for fun or you want to study music in college, we can talk about your goals for learning the violin.

About Pearl

Have you always wanted to learn the piano or violin? It’s never too late! I have been playing the piano and violin for 14 years and have been teaching for 2 years. I have a variety of experiences over the years, ranging from instructors who graduated from the Juilliard School of Music, Colburn Conservatory in Los Angeles and the Music Conservatory of Paris. I have also performed in piano competitions and have played solo piano with an orchestra. In addition, I was a member of the CSUN youth symphony and my college symphony.
I can teach beginner to advanced students classical, broadway, pop and basic jazz on both the piano and violin.
I also incorporate music theory, which I believe is an essential part of learning and appreciating music.

I tailor my lessons uniquely to each of my students because my students should love the learning

process.

Private Violin Teacher

In my one hour of comprehensive teaching, students learn extensively the techniques of the violin, including tone production, vibrato, musicality and pieces of music which are chosen from standard violin literature or Suzuki books. The whole idea is to get students to look at the whole learning process as a fun activity, and very soon they acquire the ability to produce beautiful sounds, correct intonation and strong vibrato. In addition to the above, I conduct some some ear-training exercises to improve intonation as well.

About Nader

I am a violinist and composer. I have trained more than 1200 students in more than twenty five years of my teaching carrier.

*** Lesson Details ***
Each lesson includes scales, arpeggios, etudes, duets and a new piece of music from different eras of music. I emphasize on tone production, correct intonation, accurate rhythm, reading skills, as well as an expressive and strong vibrato. My primary goal is to train students to become an excellent violinist, to play numerous compositions with the highest musicality and interpretation.
My studio at my home is a spacey room that is properly ventilated and well lit, possessing enough chairs available for both my students and possible guests. There are two music stands and an electric Suzuki piano, which can be used for accompaniment in our lessons, especially in preparation for upcoming con

certs.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I have a 2012 Toyota Corolla car, with a trunk that has ample space to house and carry my instruments and music stands as they are needed.

*** Specialties ***
Patience and communicating in an effective way and encouraging students to practice without regarding such a task as a chore.

He is very patient and has excellent communication skills. I have no knowledge of how to play the violin or music of any kind. After my first lesson I strongly feel he will be my private instructor for many years to come. I left with proper technique of how this instrument is to be cared for and good posture when practicing. He also informed me of the books we will be incorporating into my lessons. Most importantly homework is given and he is very patient and explains everything at your level.

I was very pleased with my first lesson with Nader. He is very kind and patient. We covered some basic points with what we'll be covering for my lessons with the cello. His instructions and explanations of technique is very clear I feel my lessons with him will be very beneficial and enjoyable.

Mr. Nader is an excellent instructor who always puts his students first. He customizes his lessons in accordance to each individual and patiently works with them so that they may achieve their optimum potential.

More than just a passive teacher of the violin, Mr. Nader dedicates his time and energy as a full time instructor of violin, cello, and music theory. Furthermore, Mr. Nader exhibits a level of knowledge, intellect, understanding, and culture rarely seen in the world today. When one walks into his music room, one will be struck with awe at not only the amount of books in Mr. Nader's library collection, but also the wide variety of subjects ranging from Music, Music History, Biographies, Psychology, Sociology, Philosophy, and many more. However, do not think that these books are just for display. Quite the contrary, one short conversation with Mr. Nader will show that he is well versed in all these subjects; a modern incarnation of the Renaissance polymath. Building off of his broad knowledge base, Mr. Nader not only teaches one how to play an instrument, he also teaches one how to cultivate oneself in Music and the culture from which it originates.

With a passion for Music and a yearn to pass on higher culture to the avid learner, Mr. Nader is the best instructor for all those who wish to learn Music along with its connection to the history, society, and culture from which it springs.

Private Violin Teacher

I've taught people who were just beginning violin (both children and adults) to students who were working on major concertos. What is most important to me as a teacher is that the student connect with the music and their instrument by being creative and personalizing my approach for the student. I also strongly strive to make performers out of violinists and to help them engage both audiences and themselves.

About Ha-eun

I have been surrounded by music my whole life and have played violin for 19 years. I went to high school at the Interlochen Arts Academy, obtained a BM in violin performance at Oberlin Conservatory and an MM at the Boston Conservatory. I have won competitions, played in professional orchestras, performed with college faculty, soloed with orchestras, and won the Jack Kent Cooke Young Artists Award.

I have completed a pedagogy course in college and at the graduate level. I have taught children, teens, and adults alike. I had the fortune of studying with wonderful teachers and strive to be like them and pass on their wisdom.

I am passionate about teaching out of a desire to help people express themselves and appreciate music on a deeper level. I am very enthusiastic and adapt my approach to each student's level, personality, and needs

while seeking to build a good rapport. I make creative analogies to keep them engaged. I am positive while critiquing because I believe negativity is counterintuitive to effective learning. I have experience working with elementary school kids, having spent three years employed at a Boys and Girls Club.

Just as I believe in culturing love of music in children, I truly enjoy working with older and more experienced students. I am very eager to help them develop their musicality and good technique. I have an extensive repertoire list and thus am able to aid students in learning challenging music such as show pieces and concertos.

I predominantly teach classical music but have helped students in other music activities. With older and more advanced students I am willing to teach music of their own choosing. I have also helped a student prepare for college auditions.

On practical matters, I require 24 hours advance notice before rescheduling or canceling a lesson, barring emergencies. If a student is late by over 1/3 of the lesson time (leaving less than 20 minutes for 30 minute lessons, 30 minutes for 45 minute lessons) I will count it as missed and the lesson will be forfeit. I inform students 24 hours in advance for scheduling changes and always do makeup lessons if I am sick on a scheduled lesson day.

I really look forward to meeting new students and to inspire them to be at their best!

Ha-eun is fantastic! She is helping our 10 year-old daughter master a new piece she needs to learn within the next 2 weeks. Can't praise her enough! We do in person as well as internet lessons. During the lesson, Ha-eun is focused on the student and her passion for music and fondness of teaching others truly shows. Listening to her playing the violin to show how it should be done is a delight. We consider ourselves lucky to have such a great teacher.

My son has been taking lessons from Cristina for 2 years and wow has he progressed. He loves his lessons, can read music, and is playing well. The struggle is getting him to practice! Cristina has a great blend of warmth, knowledge and discipline that works well for my 6,7, and now 8 year old son. I highly recommend her.

Our 8 year old had been taking violin for two years and was about to the point of quitting due to the lack of motivational teaching. I went in search of a teacher that could motivate her while still progressing rapidly each week! My daughter is so eager to please Cristina, because she makes the lessons fun and interesting. When I check in to see how the lesson is going, my daughter is engaged, and answering questions correctly which tells me she's still paying attention - even in the evening hours when she's tired. Cristina mixes classical and popular music as well. I still have to ask my daughter to practice each night but she pulls out her violin on her own a couple of times a week as well. It's a complete 180 from where we were 8 months ago. Cristina is a rare find and I'd recommend her to anyone who wants to ensure their child is getting the best violin training while being inspired!

Our 11 year old daughter, Drew, started with Cristina for a little over a year, and has made some amazing progress from not knowing how to play, to having great intonation and musicality. Cristina teaches our daughter in a way that works with her interests and learning style, rather than having a regimented curriculum. I think this has allowed Drew to be way more excited about playing.

i've been playing music all my life but since i'm a square parent, it's hard for me to teach drew :) Cristina does a great job giving her guidance during the lesson.
i would highly recommend her as a teacher!

Learning a musical instrument should be fun, exciting, and most importantly pain-free.

About Chaul

I have been playing the violin for over 24 years. I like to teach beginning, intermediate, and advanced students regardless of their age. I would prefer beginners to take at least one year of piano lessons prior to learning how to the play the violin. This way students can transfer basic music knowledge into violin playing, especially in the field of reading and learning new music. My goal is to help music lovers learn how to teach themselves one day when a music teacher is no longer available.

I started teaching in 2011 while I was completing the Master of Music degree at Rice University. As I finished my Doctor of Musical Arts degree in December 2017, I decided to build and expand my own studio in Burleson, TX.

I also tutor beginning, intermediate, and advanced Chinese and have always loved Chinese literature.

I enjoyed my first lesson and am excited to have such a fabulous teacher that sent me material and information to prepare for my first session. I feel confident that I will be able to progress and I know that I will enjoy learning with you. I'm looking forward to my next lesson.

My name is Jerry. I LOVE music and passing my knowledge on to others. I have played many different instruments in many different kinds of bands. It all one major thing in common, it was FUN! If you are not having fun while learning an instrument you won't want to learn. Lessons can be fun AND educational at the same time. I have had many parents tell me I'm one of the best teachers they have ever seen. (A couple of them were public school teachers themselves). I truly want my students to succeed and I will do everything in my power to help them accomplish that!

Jerry is a wonderful instructor. I wasn’t sure how online lessons would go but they have been seamless and fun and my son is making progress with the bugle. I would highly recommend this format and this teacher. The convenience and quality of instruction are excellent. We are signing up for more lessons and may move on to another instrument once my son feels confident on the bugle.

"Dimitry displays an exceptional talent and contagious enthusiasm for teaching. He consistently brings the same energy to each and every single one of his
lessons. Rather than sitting in a chair and throwing suggestions out for an hour, he is always on his feet interacting with his students.I have noticed how Dimitry constantly polishes his own playing. He exhibits the discipline to relentlessly improve even after reaching the most advanced level of his craft. On multiple occasions, I have arrived minutes late to lessons only to see him taking advantage of every possible minute to work on his own technique and repertoire. I view this as one of the keys to his effective teaching. As a result of his persistent self-improvement and reflection, his advice to his students precisely reflects his own work ethic as a violinist. His dedication gives him an unparalleled ability to comprehend his students’ struggles, and ultimately relate them to his own experiences as a performer . As a result of my studies with Dimitry, my playing has reached heights that I never believed to be possible. My proudest and most exciting moments have come as a result of my opportunities in classical music, and I owe them all to Dimitry."

"I had such a wonderful experience with Tania as my violin teacher. I minored in music at Florida State University and was lucky enough to be her violin s
tudent for two years (August 2013-May 2015). Tania was extremely patient and encouraging, and was very skilled in teaching me how to balance focus on technical details as well as on the "bigger picture" of emotion and musicality. In my opinion and experience, Tania's greatest strength as a teacher is being very adaptable to her students' needs. When I was preparing for an important audition, her expectations and demands were where they needed to be in order for me to succeed. Months later, when I was approaching exams and graduation, she recognized that practicing every day was not my priority at that time, and she adjusted her teaching style so that I could still improve and use music as a constructive and creative outlet during those stressful times so that I could excel in my examinations.

From lesson to lesson (and in-between!), she succeeded in her best efforts in connecting with me not only as my teacher and as a fellow musician, but also as a fellow human being, pushing me to fulfill my potential in each and all of these areas. I highly recommend her as a teacher!"
