You will be guided by me through method books and also use supplemental materials I create to help you advance. You will learn the basic 5 positions of the instrument to increase your sounding range. You will learn orchestra skills including following a conductor and articulation and intonation, styles of expression, and rhythm. I have been teaching violin for 7 years. My students have won seats in school orchestras and spots in various music schools. I want to be your next instructor.

About Mark
I NOW TEACH ONLINE LESSONS. I teach according to your individual needs. I only teach in my own studio. I do not travel anymore. I also have time to teach lessons every other week. You may inquire to me about my availability to teach every other week on Saturdays. I help you become successful on piano, violin, cello, viola, bass, guitar, or bass guitar. I help you learn the instrument and learn to read music with my own ideas using fun worksheets and songs you really like to learn how to play. I fill your voids with activities such as practice techniques, sub-lessons, and ear training. I guide you toward proper posture, tone development, and the ability to keep a steady beat. I help you develop your musical independence by tweaking lessons to help you succeed. I help you have fun learning to read music for your instrument using my materia
ls. I believe talent is not a factor in learning. Mastering an instrument is the result of effective instruction and step by step guidance toward foundations and skills. I love to teach private lessons because I believe in spreading the word to make the great gift of playing music available to many. It is an inherited right and gift to enjoy a lifetime of personal satisfaction from playing a musical instrument. I love to help students build confidence and make progress. I help them problem solve by going through problems with them. I teach "how to think" and how to become a life long learner of the instrument. I love the challenge of finding ways to help students become successful at every step of the way. I am excited and enthused to be apart of student progress. I am influenced by many 20th Century performers including Van Cliburn, Oscar Peterson, George Shearing, Erroll Garner, Yudi Menuhin, Issac Stern, Dave Brubeck, and Horowitz among others. I am passionate in my teaching about providing an effective solution to my student's needs. I am pleased to announce my teaching has awarded a cello student a spot at Del Sol music high school for the 2017-2018 school year. this student of mine passed an audition January of 2017 as a result of my teaching. The student worked very hard and followed my instruction very well. Congratulations!! I am also pleased to announce two of my cello students have both passed auditions to play in the Las Vegas Youth Orchestra starting in September 2017 and September 2018. They both auditioned during May 2017 and May 2018. Congratulations to both of you!!! I also had a violin student who passed auditions for LVA (Las Vegas Academy) a couple of years ago. I have no connection to these organizations. These students all worked hard and followed my instruction. I can help you learn as well. Recently with the development of "octave" strings, if you have been split between learning violin, viola, or cello; these strings installed on a violin or viola make the instrument sound like a cello. It is really something. They are tuned an octave below, so they sound very low. A lot of cello music will have to be transcribed for owners of these instruments installed with "octave" strings. Videos can be found on YOU TUBE of these instruments played. They are ordinary violins or violas strung up with thicker strings to sound an octave below.

I am a professional educator who works with both children and adults, and has the patience to help them. I am a performer who has over 30 years of public experience in solo playing as well as ensemble work. I have performed at Nordstrom for nine years, and performed at many private functions. I have performed classical as well as jazz music as part as my performance experience. I have taught private lessons for well over 17 years. I'm sorry, as of Summer 2016 I do not travel to student locations. I teach at my studio as well as online. If you are among the many parents who home-school your children, you should consider music lessons for them. There are many benefits of home-schooling, but unfortunately students miss out on specials. Practicing an instrument can make up for that and also teach critical learning habits and personal skills toward learning in general.

*** Lesson Details ***
I believe in personalizing your approach to the strangeness of the instrument. You need to learn much about posture, and proper tone production within the first year. Method books are not "how to" books. You need a teacher to guide you toward becoming familiar with the instrument. You also need to learn how to listen to the sounds you make as you play. To develop "musical independence" you need to become musically literate, develop tone production skills, and internalize a steady beat. Rhythm and tone are basic concepts that must be mastered to maximize pleasure in playing your instrument. Learning how to problem solve is another skill I teach so you can help yourself toward progress.
I believe in using the instrument in daily activities such as playing "Happy Birthday" at family get together. Christmas Songs or Hanukkah Songs can bring much joy during December family parties.
A musician in the house brings much joy during holidays and celebrations; and the families are brought closer together. Memories are created and last forever. Playing an instrument is exciting and expresses what can not be said using words. I believe in teaching students based on their strengths, and building upon them. I am excited to help you learn!!

I only teach in my own studio and online. I do not travel anymore.

You can advance quickly if you are taught to listen to yourself and follow my instruction. I will guide you every step of the way to understand how music making works. Music lessons are fun and enjoyable. I am pleased to guide you through your learning every step of the way. My students in Las Vegas have had much success with my teaching and guidance. I will succeed where others fail. You will reap the benefits of my professional instruction. I bring a wealth of teaching experience, teacher training, and professional playing experience to every lesson. Most music store studio instructors have very little or no teacher training. Playing experience does not make one a helpful teacher. Failure to learn "how to" teach along with not earning any teaching credentials will not make a satisfying music instructor.

I teach beginning and intermediate violin. I use a great method book if the student needs one I can supply one. I teach both young people and adults. I use music that
has a play-along CD. Every one loves this type of learning method.

About Bruce
I received my degree from the University of Utah in instrumental music education. Along with specialized training in band and orchestra instruments, I also offer lessons in guitar, banjo, mandolin, and harmonica in playing and performance. When a student has a song they want to learn, I focus lessons around the requested song. I also have an extensive library of songs that I utilize. My music methodology is built around a song book that also has a CD attached. This has proven to be a lot of fun for all my students. It makes practice time more fun as they "play along" with the CD.

*** Lesson Details ***
With folk instruments I start by teaching the student basic chords and basic chord sequences.
In the beginning I stress the proper hand position and I spend some time perfecting the best finger position. This eliminates a lot of pr
oblems that will come up later. For the first songs I teach them songs that use those same chords and chord sequences. Soon after that I teach them how to read music. This is vital to being able to play lead on any folk instrument. As the student progresses he or she is exposed to many different styles of music I also will teach several different picking and strumming patterns. .The student is also taught about more advanced chord progressions and music theory that can be used in any situation.

For brass instruments I teach techniques in developing breath control and embouchure development. Attention to these details will eliminate problems that could come up in the future. The student will learn how to read music from the start. As the student develops these basic techniques I begin working on tone development and breath support. As the student progresses he or she will be exposed to many different musical styles.
During the past two years I have been working for the Clark County School District as a Para Pro. I help students that need extra help to be more successful on their instrument.
I specialize in teaching the lower brass family. That is the Tuba, Trombone and the Baritone. I also train new teachers in the lower brass family if the new teachers has no experience when they first start out.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Music room: Instruments, bookshelves, open space, additional seating for parents.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I can rent a guitar/banjo.
I can provide an amplifier.
I can provide PA and analog recording equipment.

*** Specialties ***
Developed method for teaching very young students as well as adolescents and adults.

I teach beginners as early as age 4.5 and have taught groups of adults as well. I am an advanced player, but typically teach beginners up to mid-intermediate level.

About Kecia
I've been playing violin since elementary school. I went to Eastern Michigan & played in the orchestra and I've attended summer music camps galore including Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp and Interlochen. I traveled throughout Europe with Blue Lake's International Orchestra and also played with their Alumni Orchestra. I've been teaching since 1990 and currently teach both in several studios as well as online. I play in community orchestras and occasionally with quartets.

As a teacher, I like to get to know your interests and goals for playing the violin so that we can structure lesson plans that will help you keep your interest and continually help you improve. Violin does take practice so it's important to play often at home in advance of lessons and you'll hear success!

Lessons are tailored to fit each individual student's ability and goals. I believe in challenging students while maintaining a supportive and encouraging environment. Lessons will cover music theory, technique, and solo pieces. The goal is to develop in each student the specific skills needed to play a string instrument as well as to nurture an understanding and love for music.
Lessons take place at my apartment in Southeast Denver, near Hampden and I-25. Students are expected to prepare for and participate annual studio recitals.

About Kostadin
I was raised in a musical family in my home country of Bulgaria, where I attended a highly competitive full-time performing arts school from age 6. I was trained in the Russian school of violin playing and have found this to be a very successful method for my younger students in the United States. Another important pedagogical mentor for me is my viola teacher at Rice University, Ivo-Jan Van der Werff, who has developed a systematic approach to building technique fundamentals in advanced violists and violinists. I believe that studying music is very valuable for instilling self-motivation, discipline, and dedication for students of all ages. I was involved in the Mercury Orchestra's outreach partnership with YES Prep schools, which serve underprivileged communities in Houston. I was also a string specialist at the Village School in Housto
n, and my students there and in other public schools in the area excelled in the All-Region and All-State competitions.

I teach classical violin borrowing from different violin schools I followed back for 20 years in Paris (French, Russian, and German) that allows me to introduce students to some different musical and technical psychologies!
I love to work with kids and use a lot of positivity and humour in my teaching !
I'm also an improviser who can teach a lot about jazz, funk, pop, rock, world, hip-hop etc... (all strings and other instruments are welcome!). How about playing a little bit Bach, then maybe some Miles Davis or Beyonce !!?? I'm pretty sure my students will reach their musical potential and aspirations while having a great time!

About Tony
I am a professional violinist performer, composer and recording artist. I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor of Performance/Composition.
I'm originally classically trained and also have a strong background in improvisation, which means that I love playing some Bach as some jazz or some Beyonce, Led Zeppelin...!
I've been added to the Cirque Du Soleil official artist database and played with various great artists such as Jacob Collier, Wang Lee Hom, Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy video game composer), Terrence Blanchard... I also played strings tracks for Flo Rida (Warner/Atlantic Records), France in 2014.
I'm the recipient of the Honorable Mention from the Tribecca Composition Competition representing MA in 2017 as well as the Honorable Mention from the MTNA Composition Competition representing MA in 2016.
I'm curren
tly working in different projects (jazz, pop, classical rock), and is the leader of 2BIRDS BAND, a funk/rock string based band. This band had tours, and gave various shows and clinics in France, Canada and the American East Coast (Boston, NY).
My goal is to get the best from my students, with patience, care and humour, so that they become the best they can be as musicians and human beings! I'm a pretty eclectic artist and love to discover things with my student, regardless their age, level and background! All musics are sisters and it's always a pleasure to teach on one hand classical music and on the other hand, jazz harmony and improvisation as well as rock, pop, hip hop tunes!

Whether you're stressed out over a performance, or tired of shredding on the violin with little to no improvement, Tony's the guy. He gave me a new outlook on violin playing which not only improved my technique, but also my attitude towards practicing and performing as well. I've only had two classes with him so far, hence the four stars. Inspiring and fun guy.

My teaching philosophy is that music is for ALL ages and ALL abilities. I love teaching foremost because of the connection between student and teacher; I have been really blessed to have some wonderful mentors throughout my life, and I value being able to mentor others. I am here as a teacher to see you for your unique set of strengths, interests, and goals.

I have taught violin lessons locally for the past 8 years, and have studied under some of the finest teachers in Utah, including Monte Belknap, director of the Violin Performance program at BYU.

I am a classically trained musician with extensive experience in both the classical and contemporary worlds of performance. As a senior in high school, I performed with the Utah Symphony. In college I was a member of the BYU Philharmonic and Chamber Orchestras. I have recorded professionally in the Utah and Salt Lake Counties for the past 7 years, featuring a range of local/national albums, NBA commercials, and network television ...

About Alyssa
I am a classically trained violinist, and I perform regularly with local artists, dancers, musicians, and composers. I am about to release my first full length album of original compositions, which is very exciting for me!

My biggest goal as a teacher is to make your lessons relevant to your personal interests. I am here to guide you in developing your foundational technique while exploring any creative projects you might have in mind. I am Suzuki Certified (Books 1 & 2) - though I pull from a range of methodologies in my lesson curriculum. Working with each student as a unique individual is my highest priority.

I will work with you on note reading, sight reading, rhythm, improvisation, guided composition (yes, on your violin!) - I am here to help you with whatever your goal may be. I work with both beginning and advanced students,
and offer instruction to students following both experimental and classical paths.

I am big on music being for ALL ages and ALL abilities, and I want to help you integrate your love for music + your violin into your daily life.

More about me:

From 2008 - 2012 I studied with Monte Belknap, head of the Violin Performance program at Brigham Young University. Professor Belknap is constantly innovating new ways to approach technique, and I value this approach in my own teaching. As a teacher, I model Professor Belknap's sense of innovation, while also drawing upon my collaborative experiences with various artists in my community. These approaches richly inform my process with my students.

Alyssa is a wonderful teacher and a professional player. Studying with her is efficient. She has a keen sense of detail, knowing what is most important to focus on for the next lesson. Alyssa is truly such an inspiring and helpful person to work with as a teacher. She knows her instrument so well, like it’s a close friend she has known for years, and is so easy to feel comfortable with as a student. She’s helping me develop a more personal relationship with how I perform and how compose that feels more like an extension of who I am. I am more well-rounded, confident, and equipped to engage with new musical challenges because of our time together each week. I cannot recommend her enough.

Alyssa is a patient and kind teacher. She has experience not just as an teacher/student but as a writer/composer too. Her connection to the violin challenges me to do better and try harder, but somehow still makes the classes fun! I've found learning from her to be very rewarding (I'm finally checking off that new year's resolution to learn the violin!) but if it weren't for her great attitude and patient demeanor I would be lost. I'm only on my third class, can't wait for more.

Whether you're a beginner looking to explore a new instrument, or a young professional preparing for an orchestral or college audition, I'm eager to share my passion of music with you. Throughout my teaching career, I have been successful at helping students bring out the very best they can offer. I'm strict and have very high expectations, but I have been also praised for being encouraging and supportive. I strongly believe in the power of music, and the many benefits of learning a musical instrument.

About Ferenc
Music has been my greatest passion all my life, and teaching it is so rewarding!

I have played violin since I was eight years old, continued my music education in a special music high school, and eventually earned all my college degrees in violin performance (an Artist Diploma (5 yrs.) from the Franz Liszt Academy (conservatory) of Music in Budapest, Hungary, a Master's Degree from SIU-Carbondale, and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison). I've been teaching for 21 years, of which 18 years also as a full-time university professor. Besides teaching, I've been active as a chamber musician (mainly piano trio and string quartet) as well as in orchestral playing (with more than a dozen professional orchestras, including the Las Vegas Philharmonic and the Spokane Symphony).

I highly recommend Ferenc to anyone looking for a violin instructor in the Las Vegas area. I'm an adult beginner who has always wanted to learn the violin. I spent quite a while looking into teachers before I decided on Ferenc and I'm very happy with my choice. He's a very good teacher. I leave each lesson playing (at least a little) better than I did when I walked in. Ferenc knows his craft and he's very good at pointing out both your strengths and areas that could use improvement. He always gives me concrete things I can work on in between lessons and they help a lot. His instruction has been invaluable and I'm certain I wouldn't be progressing at the same rate if I had tried to learn on my own or even with a less skilled teacher. I look forward to continuing to work on my skills with his help.

I know several different teaching techniques on violin. I can help pin point which techniques will be best for each person.

About Leah
My name is Leah Tribble, and I’ve been playing violin since I was four and I am twenty-four, so 20 years. My insipiration was and still is the great violinist Vanessa Mae. The first style I was taught in, was Suzuki for violin. I have several other styles under my belt with which I can utilize to give my students the teaching styles or hybrid styles they may need. I also play french horn and am able to teach this in basic through expert ranges of ability. Having advanced knowledge in music theory and music history, I can not only teach basics on nearly every instrument, but can also provide some history on the instruments themselves as well as great composers if desired. I have found that some students learn better when they know more about their own instruments. I can teach the most willing students to eventually graduate from learning t
he bare basics all the way to sight reading. I can be strict or easy depending on what the student wants and needs. I also have experience in difficult to teach students, and students with disabilities. Please consider me to be your teacher, by doing so, we can make the world sound a bit more beautiful, together.

Every talent is different. Over the years, I’ve found that there is no Etude book that works for every violinist, even if it works for other violin students at the same level.

My highest goal is to learn all I can about each individual violin student - take time to understand them, study their approach - and only then can I recommend the ideal music to move their technique to the next level.

My other concern is physical - a focus on the violinist’s body. Playing violin regularly is physically taxing, so in my violin training I emphasize a healthy practice to nurture the violinist’s body, so it will feel natural to produce beautiful sound without physical stress. I often adjust and discuss the violinist’s body, posture and motion as I work, because I believe a happy body is crucial to creating a happy sound.

violin education is to discover the “imagination” in the violinist’s playing. I encourage each violinist to discover their own narrative about the composition, because through interpretation, we can better interpret the composer’s voice. Without a vision for the music, we are only technicians; but with a clear idea, we become artists.

For me, teaching is learning. Every student is so unique, so every lesson helps me grow. I’ve helped students at every level get closer to their ideals, and if you are serious about violin, I know I can help you.
